They insist on cash. They do not do a good job. The quality is pretty low. In the spring there was still a lot of dead wood on the trees when the spring came around. Their service was bad.

Anyway, when I got my charge bill it was not the price we agreed on. There was an extra $18 charge. I called Terry and he was a complete J*** over $18. Anyway, I had a receipt for the correct amount and my credit card company gave me the $18. I even tipped the guys more than $18, so I was surprised he behaved in such a way. I will never use them again.

Dale and his crew were terrific! They were out to my house around 4 PM on a Sunday afternoon and had the work completed by about 6 PM. The main tree cutter knew exactly what he was doing. He took care to not allow a large branch which was situated over a portion of the house to damage the house when taking it down. The whole group was professional, organized and worked efficiently together. They did exactly what I needed to have done to shape up the three storm damaged trees on our property and then cleaned up the debris very well afterward. I'll definitely be using Rife Tree Service again. I'd highly recommend them to others also.

The cabling broke and I could not get them to fix the work. Also they said they would return to grind down a stump and never did.

The representative from the company knocked on my door after having seen the fact that my trees needed some work. He gave me an estimate on the spot and conducted the work promptly. They had previously done some trim work and had removed a tree from my back yard, so I knew they did good work. They did leave a couple of small dead limbs in one tree that I didn't notice until after they were gone, but they did a good job otherwise and cleaned up after themselves.

I'm satisfied;probably not the most professional outfit in the business, but they did a good job & were affordable. I'd obtained one quote for this job & planned to get 1 or 2 others. When Rife's left their card on my door, I phoned them;had some trouble reaching the crew working in this part of town. Evidently the #s on the card weren't those of anyone on that crew. But, a young man did come back & look at the tree that evening. The price he quoted was quite a bit higher than the quote I already had, so I declined. Repeatedly then, to my surprise, he offered a better price, contingent on getting the job done immediately. Better Business Bureau had no complaints on them, & Angie's gave a decent report, so once we reached agreement about which way in the yard to make the tree fall, we went ahead. Job went quickly, they were courteous, they cleaned up the debris without my having to tell them to. Limbs were chipped;trunk cut into sections;all of it hauled away.

Did a great job, reasonably priced for work done, on time, very nice and cordial.
