raNOT WELL!! We had a full tear off and reroofing done with new vents installed. In April 2014 we had rain pouring through the ceiling. Called them - got a very smart mouthed "service" rep who suggest ed I go up on the roof and put on a tarp until the rain stops and they could send someone out. By the time they did come out - 2 days later we had leaks on every drywall seam in our Great room 14 foot ceiling. Contractor who checked the roof said the "vents are the problem not installed correctly." Took some pictures of our ceiling damage. Came back about 1 week later and retinstalled the vents. In the meantime we are getting the"run around" from Hansons' service reps. Finally thought we had a man who was willing to work with us. He had the contractor come back and put in a different style vent that "he would have recommended originally" . That work was completed. To date we have not had any more leaks - HOWEVER we have about $5000 worth of ceiling damage and Hanson's claims it isn't their problem because our issue was caused by ice damns - from the hard winter. Mind you our leaks didn't come until a hard rain storm the first week of April.
after going back and forth we were told that they would give us $1000.00 toward our insurance deductible and that we had 48 hours to let them know or they would withdraw that offer. We had already told Hansons' we would not risk filing an insurance claim as our agent had told us we would be cancelled! They didn't care. We tried Channel 11 - Call to Action and they did get back to us but unfortunately not in time. I do believe they would have willingly tried to help us!!! I called the "law show" on WJR - they never called back. So we ended up taking the $1000.00 and hoping we can find someone who can do our repairs for less!
HAnsons' were rude, bullies who know that an individual can't afford to fight them.
DO NOT GET INVOLVED with this company!!!

The sales rep was nice but stayed 5 hours, which was 4 hours to long. He kept offering discounts if we made our decision that night. We went with them and it was about 2 months before our windows came in. We ordered 18 windows in all and a sliding patio door. The original installers they scheduled with cancelled several times, showed up late when they did come and left early. What was supposed to be a two day install took them two weeks with the first installer. The installation was horrible to say the least. They used cheap trim that was damaged and his mitered corners did not match. When we questioned them, they told us to just put wood filler in there and then sand it down and it will look fine. The sales rep had come out several time to check the progress and said nothing. I wanted to cry. I started taking pictures. This was not what we were told to expect. We had 8 windows removed from front of house and replaced them with 3 large custom windows. The installers had to cut a mull (a piece of wood that separated the windows from each other). When they did this the dug into our trim and did nothing to fix it. Again they told us to just put wood filler to fix it. They left broken glass all over my garden. Then they were done. When Hanson's called us to ask us about it, we let them know. They sent someone out to take a look at it and this new guy seemed to know what he was doing. He took pictures of the windows to show his boss and said he would be back to fix it. It took several weeks to get him back out there. When he did come out he found that the previous installers had not insulated and used cheap caulk and trim on all the windows and he would have to redo all of the windows again. We thought once he was finished we were good. But my husband found several windows that were not caulked on the outside. It was like they ran out of caulk and forgot to finish the window. Anyway we are still waiting for them to come out and fix it. They have scheduled someone to come out then call us and cancel and reschedule. We are still waiting! I would never recommend Hanson's to anyone.

I am thrilled with the way my roof looks now. We had a leak in our roof that only made itself known when we had torrential downpours with horizontal winds but was giving us headaches trying to find and fix. We finally decided to call in a professional to have a complete tear off performed. We called Hansons because we used them to replace our house windows and couldn't be happier with the results of the replacements windows AND the ongoing service. Again, they didn't disappoint us. The crew (with George being the 'foreman') they sent to do the work was very professional....taking care not to damage the landscaping around the house. They came and tore the roof off down to the plywood....found the leak (thank goodness!!)....and had half the roof re-shingled the first day (our house is not huge). They cleaned the area before they left. They came back the next day and had the roof finished by noon. Again they cleaned the surrounding area of our house before leaving. Their comment to me was that when they left, they wanted to make it look like they had never been here and for the most part kept to their word. Our landscaping had minimal damage (I would have expected more) and OUR NEW ROOF LOOKS FANTASTIC!! The only reason they didn't get an 'A' for price is because no one really wants to spend the amount of money repairs are going to take, but if we were unsatisfied with the quote, we wouldn't have signed with them to begin with. Our new roof, the professionalism of the crew, and the quality were definitely worth the price

While providing a new roof for my neighbor, they notified him that his chimney was unstable and needed to be torn down. While doing this, they threw bricks from the roof (did not utilize a chute) and some of the bricks hit my house and broke a basement window. They apologized and agreed to " fix it". Of course they never did. Very unprofessional.

The crew I had did an excellent job. I just couldn't be happier. I had zero problems, they were in and out in a day.
I don't think I could have asked for better service.
Communication from the company was excellent.
The only negative thing I have to say is the referral department is a bit much. Sending it registered mail so I had to sign for it? Luckily I was home, otherwise I would have had to take time from work to get to the Post Office for their sales/referral material?

We purchased a house in August and we knew that we would need new windows. We got several quotes from a handful of companies. Hansons offered a triple pane window which was, by the stats, more efficient than the double pane, enough so that it justified the difference in price. The salesman was straight forward and like every other salesman, had a gimmick demonstration. The thing about it is, now that the windows are in, it certainly seems like it was accurate. There's literally no temperature difference up close to the windows. It's no warmer/cooler near the windows than it is in the middle of the room. The salesman was quite flexible too. We ended up changing the order to include our back sliding door. This led to my only issue overall which I will get to. The salesman came back out to adjust the order the day after calling about it. Following the finalization of the order, a guy came out to do the measurements. He was very friendly and answered all of our questions. After a few weeks we got the call to setup installation. They said it could be anywhere from 6 to 12 weeks and it ended up about 8 weeks later. Out came two guys to do the installation. They were extremely friendly and great conversation. All questions were answered and they welcomed my curiosity as they removed and installed the windows. As the end of the day neared, they were running a little behind so they asked if it would be a problem to install the sliding door the next day. Both guys were supposed to have the day off but wanted to get the job done. As promised, they were back out the next day, albeit later than was agreed to. The door was installed in no time. Everyone was very clean and everything was left as it was when they showed up. Everyone was very helpful and seemed happy to be doing the job they were doing. My only issue came with the first bill. The deal was supposed to be 5 years no interest after we had adjusted the order. The original deal before including the back door was 3 years. When I spoke with the salesman following the adjustment to see about the 5 years no interest, he assured me that we would get the 5 years. However, when the first bill came, that was not the case. I called the finance department to ask about it to see if I could still get the deal. They said that the transaction was closed and since the financing was through another company, they no longer had control over it. Can we afford the 3 years? Sure, but the 5 years was $100 less per month which would help greatly. We could have paid it off in 3 years but still had the ability to keep some of it if there was a rough month.

The person who quoted the job said it would take a week from start to finish. However in reality it took nearly a month. There was usually 1-2 guys working - sometimes 3. The person in charge, Kevin, was great! The house looks wonderful, but, when we said something to the company about how much longer it was taking than what was quoted to us, they said we should never have been told a week. They said they always have about a 1-2 man crew on the job I figure it was a sales ploy to get us to sign. However, as I said, the house looks great!

Very smooth and very thorough. Prompt response to request for a quote, no hard-sell or pushy upselling, full explanation of pricing and window choices, with excellent followup (measurement scheduling, lead paint testing, permit checking, installation scheduling).Very professional and pleasant installation crew of two arrived about 20 minutes before scheduled time (and apologized for being early!)and completed the replacement in about 45 minutes from start to finish. Prior to actual installation the crew leader explained their installation process and ran through a checklist to assure no damage to floors, walls, exterior, etc., and the list was re-checked after installation. The crew also explained the operation of the window after installation.Re: cost: my selection was a middle-of-the-road quality vinyl clad window. Hansons' cost wasn't the cheapest that I found, but it was competitive compared to like vendors (i.e., vendors with a verifiable history and industry presence). The result exceeded my expectations.

I was most satisfied with the professionalism of the various staff and the work crews. I had three different crews out for three separate jobs involving my siding, and I was impressed by all of them.
I looked at a couple of independent contractors. I liked the professionalism of the presentation and the quality that was there, and just the fact that I knew the reputation of Hansons. I know they've been around for some time. I know they'd be there for me if I had to contact them.
A door will be my next project, probably within the next six months, and Hansons will get the job.
Basically, I am really impressed all the way around.

I wasn’t very happy with it. The salesmen told me I would be getting a different insulation. When they came to do the job it was totally different and way thinner. They didn’t really do a good job of putting it on. That is the only thing I wasn’t really happy about. The siding does look good.

They are very polite, very thorough. Cleanup was great. I felt very comfortable with them here working. They are doing a nice job. Their sales pitch was a little heavy-handed but you know exactly what you are going to get in the end. He encouraged me to go with the original shingle color that I picked because he felt it would have been a better look in the sunlight. He was very thorough.

I just want share what a professional team Hansons Windows has working for them. Mr. Scott Satterfield had to step in on my situation due to the problems I was having with my windows. He was very fast and professional to resolve our problem and get the answers we needed. The crew of two that came to our house was extremely professional and knows what the heck they are doing with much knowledge; sorry I don't remember their names? We are also repeat customers and I must say again Hansons is the best and it is that quality and the lifetime guarantee that can't be beat along with the professional manner that their people handle themselves with.

The sales person was so aggresive, my son had to intervene because he was getting too pushy. We did call them back and got the windows installed so it was okay. The installers were good, and cleaned up afterwards.
