I called R T Hampton upon recommendation of a friend of mine. This was not an emergency so I set up an appointment for the next day, Friday. Matt, the technician, arrived promptly on time and diagnosed my problem. He cleaned out the main line and since the pump could not be repaired ordered a new sewage ejector pump. Since this was over the Labor Day weekend the pump would not be in until Tuesday. I got a call about 10:30 on Tuesday morning telling me the pump was in and the technician would be at my house in about 40 minutes to install it. Matt arrived within that time frame and installed the pump. He installed a Koehler pump. Installation and pump cost was about $650. The pump comes with a 3 year warranty. Matt is a great person to attend to your plumbing needs. He is punctual, friendly, experienced, knowledgeable, and very professional. I would highly recommend R T Hampton, and especially Matt, for any plumbing repairs you may need.

They worked in extreme cold to get the system up and running. They did a great job and I would use them in the future.

waste of money
the water pressure in the bathroom is very good, the shower is fantastic, but the sink was weak. the house is 50 years old.
no improvement at all. two hoses into the bathroom faucet, more difficult to get at, were not even removed to check for debris. he just checked the input feeds from the wall into the handles, not from the handles into the faucet. he also messed with the faucet handles, to no avail. one handle was not properly aligned when he was done.
i will probably just replace the faucets completely. after i get the handle to faucet feeds checked out properly in the bathroom.

The "Y" fitting where the household drain line joins the main 3-inch line coming from the toilets had corroded over time, and without warning, a 1-in x 2-in hole broke out, so for nearly a day, drain water sprayed out onto the basement floor before we noticed it at night. We used duct tape for a temporary repair (a little water stll seeped out), so it wasn't a true emergency. We called R T Hampton the next morning, and they came within a few hours to inspect the damage and determine a solution. The duct tape was still holding, so they didn't come back until the next morning. At that time, the repair was done very professionally and quickly - just about an hour!

Could not ask for a better plumbing firm. Very honest in pricing. Offers alternatives to a problem and is always looking to help in cost savings.

We got them off Angie's List. They were very professional. They came out and did the job in no time flat, and then they were gone. They came as they said they would and fixed my problem. They billed me and I didn't have to worry about coming up with cash at the last minute. The price was fair and I wasn't upset with it. I was satisfied with it and didn't feel like I was getting ripped off. I was very pleased and that is why I called them a second time, and I plan on using them all the time.

I called and they were able to come the next day. Because of my work hours they were able to come at 7am without charging me extra. The man came on time, was very professional and pleasant. He got the shower head off without damaging anything. They only drawback was that the basic charge was $80 which is the hourly charge. I was fully aware I would have to pay that even though it took 20 minutes.

I called before normal business hours and left a message requesting non-emergency service. Phone call was returned politely and promptly by 8 a.m.. I was quoted a price of $625.000 to have a 40 gallon Bradford/White water heater replaced and the old one removed, service was scheduled for that afternoon. I asked if while the plumber was here could he replace a basement lavatory water faucet. Bob(the person who was scheduling work) asked if I had access to the internet and while we were on the phone he patiently talked me through accessing the Moen web site and looking at faucets (very convenient), but when I saw that the faucets I was looking at were priced at $200 and up I said that I did not want to spend more then $100. Bob said that he would look around and find something. I also talked about replacing the kitchen faucet, but needed more time to decide on selection. It was agreed that if I found a faucet for the kitchen I would call back (which I did not do.) The plumber called later in the morning to say that he would be able to come out early to do the work which was much appreciated. He arrived and was very polite and professional. He replaced the water heater and installed a Moen 4948 faucet in about one hour and fifteen minutes which I thought was very efficient. He left the areas just as he found it and all was well. Until I received a bill in the mail for $875.00. Water heater installation was as promised $625.00. The charge to replace the facet was $250.00. Which was much higher than I expected. I called Bob back and said I was surprised to see the cost for the faucet given that I had said that I didn't want to spend more than $100.00 on a basement faucet. I also said that I felt partly responsible since I hadn't asked for a total estimate as I had been given for the water heater before the work was done. After some discussion Bob said that he wanted to make things right and didn't want to lose us as customers. (In 2001 replaced hot water tank and in 2005 installed a gas line for a stove.) I agreed to taking off $48. from the cost of the faucet, accepting it at their cost. The cost of the faucet and installation was reduced to $202.00.

They did a good job and I would use them again. I had an emergency on Christmas Eve and they had someone out right away. The man they sent out knew what he was doing and was very efficient. They charged a fair price and I would highly recommend them.
