I bought my house almost 8 years ago and I knew that I was going to need to have the electrical panel replaced at some point since it was original to the 1960's. I've had a history of discovering things that were badly and poorly done by the pervious home owners, so I wasn't sure what else might need to be done. I knew I would need to get someone professional to check it out.
I called Dan for help and he was very responsive. I told him what was going on. We scheduled a time for him to come over to provide a quote. I'm not in his normal coverage area, but I was glad he was able to make an exception. He was prompt and very professional. He did a thorough inspection of the panel and other electrical connections. He took the time to explain the work that needed to be done. And it was no small job. The electrical panel was a mess. I was able to get on his schedule quickly.
Dan was again prompt when he came to the house to work. As he was working on the panel, he realized that the grounding in the house was not done correctly and the connection to the house was frayed. As I mentioned, this was not really a surprise to me as I've run into other issues with the house. He explained what he'd found and since I wanted this job done completely and correctly, he was able to make the additional needed repairs with no problem at all. I really appreciated that he could accommodate the extra work.
I would also like to add that for Dan to complete the grounding work, he had to go into the crawl space under the kitchen. It was hot and filthy and he was still in good spirits. His positive attitude was very much appreciated.
The work was completed within a day as he planned and everything was cleaned up like he wasn't even there. I now have a safe, new panel, the house is grounded, and I have a good connection to the house. And he labeled the fuses! No more guessing needed.
I'd highly recommend Dan for any electrical work needing done. He was courteous, professional, and punctual. He was upfront about the cost of the job, accommodating when something came up, and was more than happy to answer any questions that I had.
Thanks Dan!
