Crow Wood Finishing

Brandon was able to take a very tired looking front door and make it look better than new without having to take it off the hinges.  He was timely, affordable, and left no messes behind.  We are extremely happy with the work done!

I had another painter try to refinish my off-white cabinet doors. His process left a bubbly and an uneven finish, with brush marks. I wanted to  exactly replicate the finish on my birch wood cabinets as when they were new, a white semi-gloss smooth factory finish that were the same style and color of the cabinets installed throughout the home.    I called the retail store where I purchased the cabinets when building my house.  They referred me to Brandon.  I got an appointment the next day
with Brandon,   and explained my preference to exactly replicate the original factory smooth quality finish .  Brandon brought a sample dark wood cabinet door that he had  re- finished halfway, to demonstrate what his process of paint application would look like.   It was thus easy to see I was going to the perfect finish I wanted.  He took the door fronts right then and had them finished within a week.  When he returned and re-installed the cabinets, I was totally amazed.  The cabinets look brand new and perfect.  You can't tell the difference from the original look.   Brandon is an artisan at what he does.  He is pleasant and easy to talk to, and dedicated to pleasing his client.  I couldn't ask for a better experience and most of all, an impeccable product.

It is rare to find an exceptional, honest contractor that knows his craft, but when I do, I am compelled to let everyone know about him!  Well, let me introduce you all to BRANDON CROW of Crow Wood Finishing.  Brandon came recommended to be me by another contractor that was unable to do our door in the time frame needed. I called Brandon's number and left a message. He responded promptly, and after sending him a few photos of our door, provided me a quote to sand and re-stain it. We made arrangements to have him begin the work the following week as we were working towards a date to put our home on the market. He came, on time, and prepared to complete the job. He removed the door and set up a work station away from the home as to not create a mess with the dust. Once the stripping was complete, we chose a stain that best matched the original one and he applied it. After the door was rehung, he applied a protective coat to seal and help keep the beauty and integrity of the door from the damaging sun. He also repainted the hardware to freshen it up so we now have a beautiful front door again that looks brand new! We had a delay, not by any fault of Brandon's. This is where I feel he is exceptional. I believe, through past experiences with other contractor's, a job is a job and the goal is to finish in the quickest time possible and on to the next.  Brandon's ethical, professional, and personal belief is do the job right and leave his client happy and his reputation intact. Mother nature was not cooperating. Even though we had a deadline, she was the one calling the shots. He knew, and expressed to us, that if we applied the protective coat on the door in weather that was not dry, it would turn milky white. Knowing that we had a date coming up to hit the market, he could have rushed the job and we all would have made our dates.. But I am SO thankful he did not. We ended up with a show stopper door that will definitely help us achieve the best possible price for our home. I will call on Brandon again to do any refinishing we may have in this, or any future home; I hope you do the same. You will be thrilled with the results!

Since I had used Brandon before, I arranged for the 4 windows to be dropped off at his shop.  He called 3 weeks later when they were stained and dropped them off at my house (along with all the trim).  He will come back to do the touch up work once the windows have been installed.
The windows are beautiful (smooth, perfectly matched to the rest of my woodwork).  I can't wait to see them when they are installed.
