They were able to come out for an emergency issue the same day. Their prices are very fair and they fixed the problem. I highly recommend them and the technician was very professional and knowledgeable.

I gave the owner, Richard Cox, three weeks to call me before I posted this review. He opted not to follow up. I moved to mason in 2012 and have supported this local business since, even after the owner was involved in an unusual police sting at a local motel that resulted in him resigning as a local council member. In the Fall 2017, I was sold an annual policy that included and AC and furnace cleaning plus discounts on service. The unit was serviced in the Fall, but they did not call to do the AC cleaning until late August. When I asked Brenda, the office worker who called me, why they didn’t call in the spring, she transferred me to Kim. Kim was nothing short of hostile so I drove up to their office hoping she would be more adult like in person. Wrong. I recorded the audio of the conversation as proof for the owner that his employees were out of control with calm, rational, loyal customers. Kim knew I was coming up. I let her know as much (not as a threat). She filled their tiny office with 3 service men as “protection”. Kim and Brenda went crazy - no exaggeration- within 60 seconds of me arriving. It was so bad that the one male “protection” physically was blocking Brenda then told her to leave. Luckily Tom, one of the service men, is an adult and capable of grown-up conversations. So, while Kim left the office in a fit of rage, Tom and I had a rational conversation. Ultimately all of this turmoil is because I had a service call in June. The tech wiggles some wires and my AC unit started working again. I paid for that visit. I wonder, had they serviced my AC unit at the beginning of the season, would they have found the loose wires and avoided the service call and charges I incurred in June? We will never know, because the owner will not call me back to resolve or discuss. So, I will not be getting the second service in my contract AND they have lost a customer all because the owner would not call me back.

"We tried to be respectful of everyone. With that said, this man has issues. Anger issues. He physically came to my office after hanging up on my office manager. Verbally threatened the company. All because he thinks his maintenance should be in the spring, not AC maintenance. He cannot answer Questions asked to him directly, he always side steps. We asked that this review be removed due to legal issues and not wanting to upset this gentleman anymore."

We called Al's based on the recommendation from someone who used to work for them. We scheduled service for our AC on 5/9. Technician came out and determined issue. We were told that we would receive a follow up call to schedule service. We had to call back in because the office manager never called. We were then scheduled 8 days out! The technician returned and proceeded to spend time whining and bad mouthing the company. He eventually started in to repair our problem only to have to stop because he did not have the correct tools/equipment with him. The technician stated he would returned Saturday (2 days from appointment) to complete the repairs. He never showed up. I placed 2 calls on Saturday to find out if anyone was coming out. I spoke to the technician on call who assured me that someone would call me THAT DAY. No one ever called me to explain what happened, when another technician could come out, etc. I am deeply disappointed in the communication from this company and the employee who proceeded to bad-mouth and complain to us. I have had to follow up each time regarding this repair and have been offered no explanation for anything. I will never use this company nor recommend in the future.

"This is not a accurate account of the situation. Yes, our communications could have been better. But in reality, this customer who's ac is working, can't wait her turn. This is the busiest week of the year for our company. Her ac is working but needs a follow up call. Sometimes you can't fix things on their schedule. We fix emergency calls ( elderly, health issues, customer plans) first, then follow up calls. ( like emergency rooms ) . She wanted to be first because she called first end of story."

We started using them 20 years ago when we first moved in the house. They're very responsive. If you have little kids they'll come immediately.

New furnace and AC unit were installed. New thermostat was put in place. The new thermostat was put in a different location than the old one, but the workers checked w/me before doing the work. The estimate given to us was honored. The cleanup after the work was complete was satisfactory.

Called Al's Heating for a 2nd opinion after 1st company said the furnace motor was burned out, needed a %600 replacement and that our furnace brand name was junk. Al's Heating found that furnace motor was only "seized up" after sitting all summer. They got motor running again and said that, although the furnace is not a great brand name, did NOT need total replacement. We got referred to Al's from a life long West Chester resident who we now owe big thanks.
