Edwards Roofing

Local hometown company w the best group ever!!! My roof lost a big section of shingles n Nathan Edwards showed up, gave me an estimate, n said he would let me know when they could get me in. Calls me a very short time later n he and his crew show up and did an amazing and efficient job that same day!! Estimate was very fair and I was not charged 1 penny over the estimate!! If you want a company who wants to take care of their customers at a fair honest price and do a great job, look no further. Edwards is not only my permanent roofers, I will be going with them for other work as well!!

I hired Edwards Roofing (aka Nathan Edwards) to replace my roof.  He agreed to all terms in writing, including tearing off the old and replacing everything with new 30 year dimensionals, edge guard, work guarantee, etc.  I had this done in November and the following spring came, along with the frequent rains of Central Ohio, and I experienced several major leaks inside my home, with water literally running down the walls.  I called the roofer right away, and he came out and tried to fix the leaks but to no avail, and the leaks only got worse every time it rained.  He quit taking my calls, actually blocked them, so I was left set with a disaster on my hands and a roofer who would not stand behind his work.  I then had 5 different reputable roofers come out to try to fix the problems, ALL of them telling me it was a mess, beyond repair. and the whole roof needed to be replaced.  Not one could/would touch it without tearing off the old and starting over.  As a last and final resort, I hired a licensed and certified home inspector to obtain an unbiased assessment, and he too reported that the entire roof had to be completely replaced.  The list of things 'done wrong' were beyond repair.  Thus, I had no choice but to replace the roof, again, this time by a very reputable roofer, and also hired someone to replace all of the damaged drywall inside the home.  I am out thousands of dollars (over $15,000 spent on 2 new roofs, drywall repair, home inspector, etc).  This was a gut-wrenching experience, and a very expensive mistake (all out of pocket), but one of which many lessons were learned.  Do your homework, read the reviews, and go with someone who is highly experienced, trustworthy, and will stand by their work.  This is an area where quality and professionalism is imperative.  Do not go with the lowest bid unless you absolutely know they are the best... you need peace of mind especially when it comes to the roof over your head!!!

UPDATE:  Not only is this dude irresponsible, he is also very dishonest.  We DID sue him, he did not fulfill his financial obligations, and he currently has a judgement against him.  It's public records!  You cannot hide from the law.  Do your homework and don't get taken like I did.
