Made an appointment to have someone come to our house and give us an estimate for replacing our outdated laminate countertops with granite. They brought samples of various colors of granite and also measured my countertops. During this appointment, we also discussed the type of sink we wanted for both the kitchen and powder room. When the granite we selected was discovered to be out of stock, they directed us to a web site to make another selection. We could have gone to the location to choose our specific piece of granite but elected not to. Before placing the order for the granite, they request a deposit of half the total estimated cost. Once the granite is in and when they are ready to schedule the installation, they request payment of the remaining balance. A subcontractor then does the installation and there is an additional charge for that which is paid directly to the subcontractor. We had to provide the kitchen faucet but the subcontrator will install that at the same time as the countertops and sink. Crazy Scotty's takes credit cards. They have very reasonable prices in comparison to other estimates we received and they are easy to work with.
