It went very well. Eric responded promptly to my email inquiry with a quote. After several weeks, I got back to him about it. The cost of materials had gone up in the interim but he honored the quote anyway. He was very flexible and prompt, and the results are exactly as they should be.

Eric came out and worked with me on the printer. The issue came back again afterwards and he suggested that I don't put any more money into repairs because it was old. I had a newer printer that I hadn't had set up yet, so I had him come back out to set up the new printer. He was great.

Eric was able to fix the problem and the error message has resolved. I have been using Golden Bear PC for about 4-5 years. Eric is an excellent trouble shooter. I've had some really complex issues from networking to hardware to operating system to program issues, and Eric has been able to resolve all issues. His pricing is more than fair, and he does an exceptional job. I am a complex computer user and I usually have him walking into a veritable nightmare with my issues. He's always been able to troubleshoot my issues. And Eric is a good guy and he is good to work with ... and he's totally honest.

I had tried unsuccessfully to set up the hardware, following the instructions from the store and from the information that came with the wireless router. Eric quickly identified an out-of-date ATT modem, but managed to install the router efficiently. Everything is working fine now.

I had what looked like a failed hard drive on my laptop. Unable to boot, tried all the repair disks and could not get the laptop to start up. The laptop had been acting quirky and even had the blue screen of death before it failed to start up. Eric gave me the straight story on odds of recovering hard drive and cost for a replacement hard drive. He took the laptop to diagnose it. He decided to let it run and run and run for over 18 hours, on the chance the hard drive would snap out of it. The hard drive came up and the laptop started up ok. Eric cleaned up the hard drive. Checked it, rebooted it many times and put laptop thru its paces. The laptop now runs faster than ever. Eric charged me for couple hours labor and that's it. Eric is a straightforward and honest guy who works hard. He takes care of his customers because he wants them to become clients. Eric's hourly rates are the best you'll find in the Columbus area.

"I repeatedly shaved time off my billings to try to nurse along a Windows XP Machine that needs to be replaced. I also replaced a Power Supply at cost and Upgraded The Memory at BELOW Cost in order to perk up the Machine to make it run fast enough to deal with Today's Memory Hog Web Based Browser Plug Ins. I originally Built The Custom Build Computer and it is now over 7 years old w/o any Major Mechanical Failures. That's a lot more than Dell or H.P. can say these days. You can lead a Horse to water but You can't make it drink."

The repair replaced my current virus software with one that works much more effectively. The service provided was very informative and time was taken to walk me thru all the steps to follow if another virus attacked my computer. I would highly recommend Golden Bear and would use again in the future without hesitation. Well worth the money spent and WAY BETTER than the Geek Squad.

He was very honest and informative on what he could and could not do with the old laptop.  He offered to take a look at it and if he couldn't repair it he would only charge me a small labor fee.  He was able to repair it and charged a good price for the repair.  I decide to purchase a new computer so that the old laptop could be used by my son in college.
