After evicting tenants from my house we decided to do a major house renovation and move back into it. The tenants had inflicted major damages to the interior surfaces of this house with their 3 untrained/unsocialized dogs and their total lack of cleaniness. I knew in taking on this project i would need a skilled, reliable home renovator. I found John Akers via a reference from a source who owns multiple rental houses in the marion area. John was my lifesaver in completing what turned out to be a 4 month total house renovation. He is skilled and passionate about what he does. This is a 1960, 3000 sq ft mid centruy modern house and John understood the design of this house, my goal in restoring it to its original charm and what it needs to look its best and function. Few people understand a house like this but John does. John did all the demo work inside and out, rescued & repaired my staircase (Big job), deck, windows, doors the holes in the walls and installed new hardwood floors throughout the house. He replaced the interior trim work and it looks great. You name it the tenants had damaged it! A sliding glass door would not open and he was able to take the door off and repair the rollers saving me 1500.00 for the cost of a new sliding door! John also framed for a new garage door and contributed ideas to the renovation of this house. He would search my garage and locate the original wood for this house and use it in his repairs so the look was just right. I was very particular about this job and John and his crew (thanks to you too terry) met all my requests. The work was done on time, the cost reasonable and we were able to move in by X-mas. The house looks beautiful and i could not have done this without his and his crews skills and expertise. I would recommend John and his crew to anyone needing general home renovations, kitchen/bath remodeling, deck repair and building and he does concrete work too.,
