Buys the cheapest He can find. Cut Main Beam off holding the bathtubCharged for new drywall for behind tub, then ripped it out, because he could not get the tub wall to fit over drywall. Cut in new drain for tub in floor and he cut main beam out to fix the mistake of buying wrong size tub. Never gave the paperwork for guantee on tub or shower wall. Total mess from the start
Description of Work: Mr. Ward, did come on time. When putting in the bathtub, he installed a smaller tub then what we had and was to put the same size in or a little larger. He bought the tub and tub wall and picked the next to the cheapest he could find. This cause the tub drain to not match up with drain in floor. He Cut the Main Beam running under the tub, he took out about 8 inches of the main beam. There is no support of the beam running below the tub or support for the rest of that beam for the whole lengh of the house! Mr. Ward did not tell us he was cutting the Main Beam away. He had to get the tub to fix for what he bought.Mr. Ward said this is how he does it, and has cut the Main Beam out of Brand New Houses! He has never given us the guarentee for the tub or shower wall, said he would bring it back, I was told that 3 times. When he got his last check for payment I have not heard from him anymore. I wish I would of held the last check until he gave us the paperwork. The bill was for $4,784.60 but when he was finish it ended up being $6,352.30. He said because he had to put new floor in and drywall behind tub. But he ended up tearing the new drywall out when he could not get the tub wall insert to fit. That was a waste of money for another one of his mistakes. I would not recomend this person to do anything in anyones house. The main expense he had to buy was a tub, tub wall, wood for floor and wall cover and trim, that was very expensive for his labor and the way he rig things to fit. Now I have to get the Main Beam fixed.
