THIRD FEDERAL SAVINGS & LOAN

When I scheduled the appointment, I asked for the most knowledgeable mortgage consultant they had...my husband and I never bought and sold at the same time before and we wanted to make sure we had all our questions answered. We were assigned to Kiva Draper, whom we realized right away was not experienced. She continually asked her associate questions. Kiva didn't do her job - made me call for my pay off balance, didn't send an estimate of the closing costs, etc. and when it came time to sign our final loan papers, all the numbers were wrong...the payoff amount that I gave her was incorrect! I called the manager, told her the situation and explained that Kiva's lack of follow through may delay my close. The manager handled my paperwork, reworked all the numbers and got us the paperwork on time. We noticed that, while at the bank for the second signing, the rates went down so we payed an extra $300 to get the lower rate.

I HAVE BEEN USING THIRD FEDERAL FOR MY MORTGAGE AND HOME EQUITY FOR ABOUT FIVE YEARS. I HAVE ALSO RECEIVED A FEW ADDITIONAL PREAPPROVALS FOR THE SAME SERVICES, WITHOUT GOING THROUGH WITH THE PROCESSES. THEY HAVE BEEN NOTHING LESS THAN PROFESSIONAL. THEY HAVE BEEN HELPFUL, WITHOUT BEING PUSHY, AND HAVE MADE SURE THAT I WAS FULLY INFORMED ABOUT ALL OF THE PAPERWORK THAT WOULD BE SIGNING AND THE FINANCES THAT I WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR. THERE NEVER ENDED UP BEING ANY ''FINE PRINT'' THAT COST ME ADDITIONAL MONEY OR HEADACHES. MY EXPERIENCES HAVE BEEN GREAT. A+
