It was rather expensive but the machine works very well and it was worth it. It was not working for years. I did have an angie's list discount approximately 10%. He found the parts that I couldn't find because my machine was too old and he did not charge me for that which is nice.

They didn't even bother to call me.

Incredible! I could not take it into a shop because it is in a cabinet and very heavy. Mr. Slezak came to the house, diagnosed the problem, took it to his shop, returned it the next day, and it's good as new! Couldn't be happier!

Meticulous work

I dropped off the machine midday Saturday and had just gotten home when he called with the quote and told me the work would be done in half an hour! It was amazingly quick service and I would definitely use their services again in the future.

I've owned my Elna Press for over 30 years (purchased it in 1981). It is something I use several times a week for pressing seams when I sew, and for ironing jeans, slacks, shirts, pillow cases, napkins, etc. This January it stopped working. I looked at new presses but they were in the $1000 to $2000 range and I really liked mine the best. So I started searching for someone to repair it. This was a big challenge because most people don't even know what a press is. I actually had an appointment to have repair person look at my press but he misunderstood me and thought I wanted my Elna sewing machine repaired. I can’t remember exactly why I called Slezak except they had repaired my Elna sewing machine many years ago. Gabe Slezak answered the phone and when I told him my problem he said that he had parts for some of the Elna presses and he would take a look at mine. In the end, he did have the part and was able to fix my press. Yeah! Note: Although the repair was expensive, it was well worth it.

The machine works better than new. I didn't realize how bad it was broken until it was fixed. The machine runs smoother than before. I must admit when I first heard the price to fix the sewing machine I actually gasped! But I went ahead and bit the bullet (I have to many projects that I want to get done!). The machine was ready the next day. I am very glad that I got it fixed.

Work was completed in 2 days, a new motor was installed, machine was tuned up and is in great condition. Storefront is easy to find and owner was easy to work with and very knowledgeable about sewing machines.
