Installation was good (not excellent); we had some damage to inside molding/window trim. Damage happened even though we expressed serious concern about it happening. He told us that his installers were perfectionists and damage rarely happens. We had damage on half our windows, and he failed to rectify it despite several complaints. Outdoor flashing looks great. The main issue is customer service aspect of the company. I always had to follow up with Joe Sr. He made promises to drop off estimates, or to call and never did. 2 windows had the wrong size grids, so he called the manufacturer while standing in my living room. He told me I was on the priority list to get replacements. 3 weeks went by, and I still had not heard about getting the windows replaced. When I called to inquire he blamed it on the manufacturer. It seemed that he had an excuse for everything. He's getting on in years and should be retiring. Dealing with Joe. Jr. was much more pleasant and straightforward.

END OF JULY I CALLED AGAIN AND WANTING TO KNOW WHEN WORK WAS START AND AGAIN I WAS ON THE LIST AND HE HAD OTHER JOBS AHEAD OF MINE(BASICALLY BLOWING ME OFF). STILL NO CALL BACK. CALL I RECEIVED FROM COMPANY WAS THE WEEK PRIOR TO LABOR DAY WEEKEND AND HE STATED HE WOULD CALL ME ON SEPTEMBER 8,2003 WITH A START DATE OF THE WORK. NO CALL, NO SHOW. I CONTACTED AN ATTORNEY AND LETTER WAS SENT TO MR. KLIR ON SEPTEMBER 19,2003, STATING THAT IF WORK WAS NOT COMPLETED BY SEPTEMBER 29,2003, I WOULD CONTACT ANOTHER COMPANY AND BY LEGAL AUTHORITY THAT IF THE COST WAS CONSIDERABLY DIFFERENT I WOULD EXPECT THEM TO PAY THE DIFFERENCE. I RECEIVED A CALL FINALLY FROM MR. KLIR ON SEPT. 30TH AND WORK WAS COMPLETED ON OCTOBER 2,2003. MR KLIR IS AFTER MONEY AND IF A CUSTOMER HAS A MINOR REPAIR THAT IS NOT A PRIORITY TO HIS COMPANY. OBVIOUSLY AS IN MY SITUATION IT IS UP TO THE HOME OWNER TO ENFORCE THE CONTRACT AS IT STATED TO BE COMPLETED IN IN A TIMELY MANNER.
