I had a sewage pump fail with flooding in my basement. The system was installed by the prior owner and I had little information about it. I talked to 6 different plumbers and my city with 4 professionals coming to my house and failing to diagnose the problem. Eventually, I was referred to Harper Well & Pump. Mike was prompt in helping me diagnose the problem over the phone and said he could bring several parts for different potential solutions in the morning. He arrived when he said he would and made surprisingly quick work confirming the problem, replacing a failed sewage pump and its system, and replacing the old worn crock seal. Work was tidy.

Couldn't be happier!!!!! The plumber and an apprentice showed up at the stated time, completed the trouble shooting and repairs in a little over an hour. They explained the repairs and adjusted the timer on the green sand filter which was only set to cycle every 6 days.
Harpers Well and Pump are my go to people for well service from this day on!!!!!

they had to reschedule me as they had an emergency call, thus the B for responsiveness (they called me at 7:50 for 9:00) but Dave showed up right when scheduled on rescheduled time.
Dave took me through overall system function, as I had never had it described to me.  Did a great job laying it out for me, what each element general does, now long it last etc.   First time I ever understood whole thing.
Gave me some options on my issues with changing filters on system and some recommnedations/quotes.   Very professional.

The Inspector, Michael and his colleague arrived early and were very professional. Michael provided helpful information on not only the test itself, but on maintenance and upkeep of the systems in place. Office manager Tara was also very accommodating and helpful. Would recommend.

Called Harper. Matt arrived within an hour. Determined quickly, using measurements, the pump was not working and needed replaced. He pulled the pipes and replaced the pump, and had the water back on in less than a couple hours. All this in 10 degree temp (less than -13 F feel), and Snow Squalls. Matt's a winner and so is Harper Well and Pump.

Everything went very well..  Showed up at 12;55 pm for a 1:00 pm appointment, which I got the day before when I called to explain our issues.  The young lady on the phone was knowledgeable and had some ideas after my explanation.  The first ten minutes, he tested the system and told me exactly what he was going to do and why.  Gave me a couple of things to look out for.  He replaced the switch and started the system back up.  Everything took 30 minutes.  Very friendly, very informative and very professional.

The installation was prompt and professional. This is the second time we've used Harper and have been satisfied each time. They care about their customers and are very responsive.

Contacted Harper about failed well pump & they came out next day.  Initial idea was for them to repair/replace well pump, but they diagnosed well had collapsed.  Opted for surface water system using pond water rather than drilling new well because of water problems locally.  Had history with Harper - had serviced well softener system in property I rented long-term, so hired them to buy parts and install system (I work at a water plant so I already knew exactly what I wanted).  Getting permits from State and County took 3 months and then it took another 2 weeks to get the parts in and schedule, but Mike installed the sytem and capped the well in a single day.  Very professional work, cleaned up, and was $500.00 under the estimate.  Would hire again.

When we contacted the company, Matt and his team came immediately to assess the problem. They were very punctual, professional and honest in giving advice, and did a good job in replacing the pump.

The installation required some plumbing modifications which Mike was prepared for and made efficiently and effectively.
Having never had a well I had many questions about function, controls and proper maintenance which he took time to answer in a clear and complete way.
 I am much more confident about the quality of our water now and saw an increase in water pressure throughout the house after the replacement of the small restrictive filter with the whole house system.

The water at our house went out on a Sunday night around 7pm. We have well water so my wife called Harper Well and they said they could come out the next morning around 9am. Sure enough, they were right on time. They quickly diagnosed the problem and determined that we needed a new well pump. The cost $1100.00. OUCH!! But what could I say at that point? They had already pulled the well pipe and pump out of the ground and I needed to get to work. If I said I'll pass, they would have charged $100 or more anyway just for the house call. So I said ok, and they completed the job in less than 2 hours (total time from arrival to departure). The new pump works great and there have been no issues.
The next week, I go online to see how much the pump they installed would cost. The pump is $500 on Amazon. So essentially, they charged us $600 for 1.5 hours of actual work! Come on now... $400 an hour!!! I understand paying a little more when you are in a bind, but that is out-and-out robbery. I work at a large healthcare organization in Cleveland, and seasoned physicians do not make that kind of money.
NEVER AGAIN will I use their services or recommend this company, EVER!
Be warned, if you are in a bind, I would recommend going with another company. If you are not in a bind, be sure to get quotes.

Needed well cleaned and bailed. 30 year old pump to be replaced. Cost factor and work done was professional. Highly recommend this company.

We've struggled with water issues in our 100+ year old farm house for over three years. We had a company come out six months ago and they charged us $60 to tell us everything "looked OK". I decided to call Harper a few weeks ago (after freaking out about laundry, a hot shower, and doing dishes!) since I had used them several years ago for a project at work with success. John & Dave came out to look at the job the same day I called. After a bit of head scratching, they found that we weren't drawing water from a shallow cistern in the yard - we were pulling water from a well in a crawl space next to the house! We were all suprised (and a little disappointed in our realtor that said there wasn't a well and that guy that said "everything look OK" after peering into the cistern). We scheduled an appointment to clean the well and replace our jet pump with a submersible pump two weeks later. John and Dave arrived on time, finished the job within 4 hours, and were a joy to work with - I would highly recommend Harper to anyone that has a quirky water well project!
