We were having a problem with movies on demand, the picture kept going in and out. We unplugged our tvs, plugged them back in and same thing. We called Time Warner Cable and my first call got answered by Carlos in the Dominican Republic. I could not understand him and he said he could not transfer me to the United States so I hung up and tried again. The second time same place but I got Michael, he could not transfer me either.. The third time I called I got Jill in Phillipines. The fourth time I called I got Zanesville, Ohio and April answered my call. She was able to set up an appointment and also connect me up to someone in Maine to help with another problem..We got phone calls from Time Warner telling us they had fixed our problem and to go turn on the tv , but that did not help at all.We got quite a few of these calls and even one or two on Sunday before they were supposed to be out on Monday. Our appointment was between 3and 4 in the afternoon and at 4:30 , I called to find out where the servicemen were , they were not here and we had not heard from them. This time , I got Zanesville, Ohio again and I forgot to get his name but he was hard to understand and it was like a 100 people talking in the background and I got hung up on. At 4:45 we got a call and it said press 1 to answer questions about the service call that we had received from Time Warner. I would press 1 and the same message repeated itself a few times and then someone finally said this did not pertain to the call and hung up...Of course it didn't , we did not get a service call. At 5:23 we got a phone call . A lady and I did not ask where she was from or her name..At this point, it did not matter..But she said that Time Warner had called earlier at 3:30 and noone answered and so they did not come out because they thought no one was at home..Wrong, we were at home and we did not get a call because my husband and I were both waiting for someone to show or call. We have call waiting and it shows no calls today until 4:43 and one at 5:23 which was hers. She kept insisting that we had got a call and I kept saying we did not, that Time Warner was a no-show. She let out a big sigh and I asked her why was she getting upset, that I was the one that should be upset and I was.She said she was giving me a $20. off on my bill, another person said he was giving me 50. off..Okay so now we have an appointment for tomorrow and we will see it we get a service call. Okay we did get a serviceman and he was here for a long time but he could not fix our problem...He tried so many different things and then he said it was because our house was not grounded...that was hard to believe because it was working and we had just started having problems with it...He finally left and nothing was fixed...We just let it drop and after 2 weeks had passed it started working and we had HBO because they gave me a different package deal...But I opened the bill today and I saw a few mistakes...so another call was placed and I got Janine in the Phillipines...So she deducted $20.00 off of my August bill...but this has been Time Warner for quite a few years...I know that you very seldom get a real person to talk to when you call a lot of business, but I know the public is getting tired of this and especially when we cannot understand them.
Description of Work: Nothing , he could not find out why and came up with the wild answer that it was because our house was not grounded... ..We have to use Time Warner if we want this service...

Time Warner's service was acceptable. Occasional outages due to weather, downed lines, etc. are OK. My complaint with Time Warner is their practice of increasing prices for no justifiable reason. Example: They wanted to charge me an addition amount for my modem, which I had in my home for more than 15 years. They didn't get me a new one, nor offer to upgrade my internet service for this addition amount. Their attitude seems to be to just charge more to customers who have been loyal to them over the years while advertising bundled service to new customers at a rate nearly half what they want me to pay. To me this is a strange business practice. Friends have told me that if you go to the office and complain they will reduce your bill to a small degree. Why should I have to whine to be treated like a loyal customer? I have since switched to DirectTV satellite bundled with CenturyLink for internet and land line.
