 + 6 moreOverall, the project went well. Shep had a motorcycle accident during the time he was working on the job. That delayed the finish about two weeks. He kept us informed of delays and communicated very well.
Description of Work: Finished a basement at a cabin that we have as a vacation home. Entailed striping the block walls and installed tongue and groove paneling on the outside walls with drywall otherwise. Finished two bedrooms, a den, and a bathroom. Installed tongue and groove wood ceiling. Installed ceramic tile floor in bathroom. Did all interior trim work and installed all doors. Wired the rooms for electricity and cable.

 + 3 moreRobert was very easy to work with. He was knowledgeable, dependable, friendly and trustworthy. We appreciated that he communicated well with us as the project proceeded and allowed us to make minor changes to the plan as needed. Also, he allowed us to purchase some of the items for the project ourselves and worked out how this affected his budget without problems. We were able to get the finished product that we wanted at a very reasonable price and in the amount of time that we were told that it would require. Quite impressive and we would recommend Robert highly.
Description of Work: Robert finished about half of our basement in 2006, including a full bathroom, TV viewing area, pool table area, bar with cabinets and a bar sink, and a staircase banister. He personally did all of the work, including drywalling, electrical, plumbing, duct work for heating and cooling, painting and tiling of the bathroom and bar areas. He even built a custom bar for us.

 + 5 moreShep assisted in the total re-design of taking a 32 year old Contemporary Home and made it feel almost brand new on the inside. The suggestions on removing walls, and incorporating hallways into the total room design makes the house feel bigger and much better flowing than I would have ever imagined. He was both instructive and insightful on his suggestions on making the total project go quickly. This was a not only a kitchen project, but more like a total remodel of the overall floor plan. We could not be more pleased with the results.
Description of Work: Total Kitchen Remodel as well as redesign of Great Room, Dinning Room, Entry Hall, replacement of all trim/doors.... He allowed us to purchase our own materials where we could get a better price, and provided materials where we could not. He did a fantastic job of making an old kitchen look perfect, and more importantly, made the house plan appear much younger than it's 32 years. As part of this project, walls were removed, heat duck's relocated, major electrical wires had to be moved, floor system had to be made stronger, pluming & all appliances were re-located. The project took approximatly 45 days from beginning to end, and having been through this type of remodeling before, it was less than 1/2 the last time. Results are better than was hoped for.
