Ritter & Hagee Doctors of Optometry - Landen

i was schedualed at 10:30 at maineville location. the tech who took me back kept inquiring about my pupils being large, as i had no clue why nor how they were large. she implied and literally asked if i had been "partying" which i dont party nor do i do drugs. i told her i use these antihistamine eye drops, and she shrugged it off. the eye dr told me those particular drops DO dialate pupils and i have nothing to worry about. during the whole visit with the actual dr, i felt so rushed. he flipped through the lenses to fast i was not able to make easy decisioons regarding if #1 was better or #2 was better and whatnot. after we were "done" , he gave me a set of contacts to try on. i sat for 10 minutes and instantly about fell over and had a severe headache. i told him the poweres were not right and i needed a stonger set and the numbers were off. of course since he is a "dr", i had to have been wrong as he let out a long *SIGH* as if i were inconveniencing him in some way. so he gives me a different pair to try on. SAME THING. after another 10 minutes he lets out another long breathy *SIGH* and gets a really annoying attitude! he gives me a couple glass lenses to hold over my eyes to see whats better or worse. low and behold the pompous idiot says he "under powered my numnbers" and finally gave me a pair that was correct and to where i can see. so after all of dr. know it all's *SIGHS* and hurry hurry attitude, was in fact WRONG and was severely unsuccessful in rushing an unrushable process. he then threw his coat on and left within 45 seconds of all this as if his saturday was so much more important and my vision was not worthy of his attention. i then go over to get the ball rolling on my glasses. the lady followed me around the racks and was pulling pairs and coercing me to pick this or that pair. i never got to look at frames for more than 3 minutes. this whole experience i was rushed, called a drug addict, and was a victim of a doctor not wanting to do his job. this joke of a dr told me i couldnt see because my pupils were diulated, B/S!!! IMAGINE IF I WALKED OUT WITH THE WRONG SCRIPT OF CONTACTS AND WAS IN A WRECK! I WOULD IN FACT SUE BIG TIME. you have to listen to your patients, and if they tell you its wrong, ITS WRONG!!!! if you dont want to work, spend time with your patients, and listen, STAY HOME or go work at mcdonalds. i really wish i could get a refund, and i hope dr shat breath reads this!

Doctor found cataracts and referred me to Cincinnati Eye Institute where I had surgery to remove them. Returned 6 weeks later and am now in the processes of deciding which type of contacts I will be purchasing, and also have new glasses for back up. Yes, I'd recommend them.

Dr Hagee is a supreme professional.  He is kind, patient and knowledgeable.  Wonderful in all ways!

Dr. Ritter has been my ophthalmologist for a number of years. We go to him although he is not on our employer's paid insurance plan.  I would rather pay out of pocket and have the assurance of his excellent care.Dr. Ritter is one of the most patient and thorough health professionals I have ever met.  He is clear and straight forward about the health of your eyes, and about your options for care.  I have had a number of special concerns, from unusual problems to wanting glasses that will let me do ultra-close work and watch television at the same time.  He has been unfailingly  helpful.The staff are also great- warm, competent and patient.  I cannot recommend this office too highly.

The visit went fine.  On schedule with no delays.My only complaint about the practice is their interest in pushing new glasses or contacts (which they sell) whenever your prescription changes.  While their glasses are very nice and the staff is professional, I find the prices high and just take my prescription elsewhere to be filled.

It went great.  Dr. Hagee is so wonderful, kind, patient and great at explaining everything to his patients.  He takes his time, goes over all results of everything he does.  The staff across from him where you go to get your glasses are wonderful as well.  The only negative is that they are super pricey for their glasses.  But because of how amazing and wonderful they are, I keep going back.  I've been going there for around 8 years and am very happy with them.

I dropped off my frames for the bifocal order and fitting. They called me to tell me I had to come back in to be measured. So I made a second trip back in the next day. I was asked if I wanted the old lenses back to which I replied, "yes". I was called once the bifocals were ready. I picked them up and did not receive the old lenses. When I asked about them, I was told they were thrown away. When I asked to be compensated for my property, they said they would not do that. I stated that they had just lost a customer. During this conversation, there was no apology. Only defensive statements such as, "most people don't keep their lenses". There was a lack of concern in tone and words. There was no effort to make this right. It was as if I was a bother. Why ask if I want to keep my lenses, if you're going to throw them away? I called back unsatisfied with this very poor customer service and asked to speak to the manager or owner. A lady by the name of Linda called back and left a voice mail to state that she was sorry for what had happened and that they did indeed have my old lenses. She, too, did not seem particularly concerned about making sure I was satisfied or had any questions or concerns. She matter-of-factly stated I could pick up the lenses. I did so and no one was concerned or asked any questions about what had taken place up to that point - the multiple trips, the confusion, the falsehood that they had been thrown away, the need to call back to talk to the manager and suddenly the lenses are there and most importantly, the fact that I had expressed I was no longer interested in doing business with them. The lady at the counter was friendly enough. But neither Linda nor the grey-haired gentlemen wearing glasses that I spoke with followed through with these concerns. I've worked years in customer service. I know both sides of the counter. Maineville Ritter Hagee Optometry is not a business with good customer service.

Check up went well.  Dr Ritter always highlights things to watch out for, makes sure to polish contacts and ensures your hard or soft contacts and your glasses fit well.  They sell the contacts and glasses there too and I have found their prices for  frames really reasonable compared to stores.

Dr. Ritter is a great eye doctor.  I have been going to him for many years.  Their office is occasionally running behind , but that is because the doctors take their time with their patients.  Dr. Ritter is outgoing, funny, and always answers any questions you may have.  The office staff is friendly and always helpful.  I would recommend Dr. Ritter!

Everyone in the office was courteous, helpful, friendly, patient and just really really nice. They took us on times, didn't waste time and took care of allof our needs promptly. Dr. Hagge is also great at explaining everything he is doing and everything that is going on with your eyes.

My family has gone to Dr. Hagee since we moved to Cincinnati 23 years ago.He is thorough and patient in conducting the exams, is available by phone and appointment if I have an emergency, and his staff is likewise friendly and efficient.Dr. Hagee has made suggestions to improve my vision experience regarding different contacts that may be better for me.  When an emergency happens (eye infection, stye, etc.) he has made himself available via the phone or made room to get me in for an office visit if he believes it's necessary.I would highly recommend him for anyone looking for a friendly, competent, eye doctor!

Did a great job in prescription.  Spent extra time to make sure my prescription was right.  Best prescription & glasses I've had in a long time.

I called Dr. Faimon at the last minute, and had me bring in my daughter immediately. After completely examining her eyes, it was determined she had allergies that were affecting her eyes. My daughter is 7 years old and he made conversation with her, and also made her feel very comfortable. He did not speak down to her, he spoke to her and listened to what she was telling him. We will be having Dr. Faimon our regular eye doctor from now:)

He has been my ophthalmologist for quite a long time. I have been very satisfied with the care I have received from him. When I did have a problem with my eyes, it was something that needed to be watched. It was a potential care in the retina. He had me come back-in frequently so that he can check. He was very conscientious making sure that something didn’t happen and it required surgical attention. By watching it very carefully he determined that there wasn’t a problem. He was concerned about it and made certain that he checked it really frequently. When the time element was past he determined it wasn’t a danger. I was pleased by the fact that he was very concerned about it. He provided me a lot of good information on how to watch for problems to make certain that it wasn’t becoming more serious and impacting my sight. He has also kept up with the newest equipment and so forth for ophthalmology visits. He has the Opthomap that photographs the whole back of the retina. I can choose to have that done which makes a good digital picture of the whole back of my eye. I can compare it to a visit, to visit, to visit which I think is really useful especially when I age to make sure I don’t develop macular degeneration. I have been able to get in quickly when I needed to. Sometime I occasionally have to wait to get an appointment but it doesn’t seemed to be unreasonable. The office is excellent. He has a very good staff as well. He has some optometrist and people that also fit glasses at that location. He has had the same employees for a long time. He doesn’t have a lot of employees turned out which I think is good as well. His demeanor is fine. He is an ophthalmologist and he just does eye exams. He does not do Lasik surgery. He does not do medical procedures. He does exams and refers people for serious medical complications. He can do a range of different things. He does lots of fittings of contacts. He does analysis of my vision. His ability to communicate with his patients is excellent. They have to deal with insurance companies. I paid a bill for my husband months, months and months ago. It just took forever to get through. It takes a long time and sometimes I don’t even remember. I don’t think it is necessarily all their fault.
