Bill Czerwonko came to our house in a van with a power saw at approximately 10:30 a.m. on 5/31/2012. He said he would do the tree work that day and come back the next week for the basketball post, topsoil, edging and mulching. Another man came in a car. Czerwonko had no other tools or equipment. He had no means of hauling away or grinding/chipping material. He asked if we had an extension ladder. We did not. He used our step ladder, standing on the very top in a most dangerous position to saw a tree limb while the other man broke the limb off. No straight cut was made. Czerwonko cut a few small tree limbs, took down the dead tree leaving branches in a nearby tree, and pulled up the weeping cherry tree by the roots. I observed his assistant throwing branches behind our chain link fence. I asked about cutting and spreading. Bill Czerwonko said the branches would decompose in a couple of years and that there was other stuff dumped behind the fence. I explained that part of what we had discussed was to have the old pile of limbs behind the fence cut up, as well as, the new stuff. He told me that to do work behind the fence would be another $1500. He did cut one fallen tree behind the fence in to pieces too long to fit in our fireplace. At approximately 11:30 a.m. he rang the door bell and said we did not see "eye to eye" on the work and wanted $400 for the work he had done and did not want to do any of the other work. I mailed him a check for $400. No haul away or grinding was done of the tree material.
