The initial work that was done went pretty smooth. The quote was issued in November and the work was performed in December. I used the Angie's List coupon they were offering for glass replacement. If this was the only interaction with Glass Guru, I would have given them much higher ratings.

In March, reached out again to get an estimate on correcting a moisture issue between the panes of a double pane external window. I had an appointment scheduled for 4/12 at 4:30 for them to stop buy and give me an estimate on this issue and a couple of other minor window issues. When I got home for the appointment, the contractor had already come earlier in the day and gave me an estimate only on the external window. He left a note stating he had a family situation that came up so he had to come earlier. It would have been nice if he would of called me and let me know he was coming earlier so I didn't have to leave work early to get to the appointment only to see he had already been there.

I decided to proceed with the work and left 5 voicemails and 2 emails over the last weeks to the company requesting to get the work scheduled. As of today, I have not received a single call back or email. Very disappointing! Clearly customer service is not one of their strengths. I would suggest you look elsewhere if you need work done on your windows.

The Glass Guru was supposed to replace some shower clips on my glass shower doors. Now admittedly the existing clips were not easily replaced and would require a bit of research and creative thinking on the part of the Glass Guru, however they indicated they could complete the project, order new clips and then come out a couple weeks later to install them.  So after 3 weeks I received a phone call that the clips were in and they would come out to install the new glass door clips. When the men arrived, the clips were not the right size... not even close, and had they taken the time to measure properly this time wouldn't have been wasted.  So we discussed other alternatives and solutions and the left and indicated they would call in a couple days.  Well I never received a phone call, so I had to call their office and leave a message.  I received a call back a few days later indicating that new clips were on order and I would be notified when they arrived.  After another 3 weeks I received a phone call that the clips were in and set up another appointment to have them installed.  Well big surprise these clips also did not work.  I let them remove one of then clips from the shower door to take to a parts dealer, and was told I would receive a phone call in 24 hours on whether or not they could locate a better option, and if not they could put a metal track on the door.  After waiting 5 days I never received a call back, so I called the main office and spoke to a manager (assuming), who brought me up to speed on the status of the parts dealer, and assured me someone would call the very next day.  So I waited another week and no one called me back.  I just called one final time this week and left an urgent message on the machine, but I guess no one listens to the messages or cares because I have not received a call back.
I had to initially put down a deposit of this work for $237, and am now going to have to work to have my money returned to me since they could not complete the full service we agreed upon.  I would NOT recommend this company to anyone.  Not only are they completely unresponsive, but the service providers never offered to take off their shoes walking around in my home, and they didn't carry simple tools with them to work on the job (they had to borrow a screwdriver and a drill from me).

He removed a screen door and replaced it with a cheap screen door that was not comparable with the original one. Installation of the new door was a joke. When following up with the company I requested a refund of $270 which was the price for the door replacement. These calls of been unanswered. Call another company.

I called the Glass Guru because it was advertised in the newspaper. A guy came out and looked at my window. He said yeah, we can take care of that. We can put pin holes in and clear up the fog between the two panels. This was last month on the 17th. It's still terrible. I called him back and he said that I'd have to wait 12 weeks for it to get better. Nothing is happening with it. It's actually getting worse. They want approximately $250 before they even come out and look at it. They also said they'd come out two more times and if it doesn't clear up you have to buy a new window through us and we'll apply what you paid at the start towards that new window.

"Removed mbr info With the moisture removal process it can take up to 12 weeks for it to clear out as of now it has only been 4 weeks of the healing process. We do provide all customers with this information on the original estimate and a copy is left with the customer. the window is back with the service agreement, and warranty. We are willing to reservice the window before the healing period is over as long as the final balance that was due is paid."

Estimate was done with price quoted immediately with 10% Angies list member discount. Half needed to be paid before glass would be ordered and remainder on the day of installation. There were phone calls and e-mails as courtesy reminders

The first batch done in 2014 was done very well and held up well.   The Installer was professional and did quality work.

We had a major problem with the second batch done in May 2015.  The glass itself was fine.  However, the craftsmanship was awful.   The installer was about two hours late and then rushed through the job and this showed through in the result.

For example, nails were not fully sunk or counter-sunk.  They were clearly visible when looking at the frames and posed a hazard for anyone brushing their hand across the frame (e.g. when cleaning).  Several nails were actually bent-over (like when a 5 year old tries to drive a nail).   There were dents in the frame where the hammer missed the nail.   Finally, after butchering the frames with hammer and nail, the installer gooped silicone caulk all over the glass and wood frame in a terribly unsightly way.    I was devastated. . . . . . a primary reason for replacing the glass was because we were selling our house and wanted the windows to be a positive, not a negative.  The workmanship was simply unacceptable.

I called the Glass Guru office and registered a complaint,  Their response was to send a supervisor out a week later to assess the work.  I was uncomfortable waiting that long for what may be a resolution as they already had my check for full payment.   So, I called my bank and put a stop payment on the check.   Upon calling Glass Guru back to let them know there was a stop payment on the check until the issue was resolved, they offered to send the same installer that did the work a year earlier to clean up the mess the very next day.   That original installer came to our home and did  good job fixing what he could but some damage was permanent (dents in the frames, silicone caulk on the wood, etc.).   This guy was professional, apologized, and did a lot of repair and cleanup but, as stated, some of the damage simply cannot be undone.

Bottom line - There seem to be no standard of process or workmanship.  The quality of the install is fully dependent on the individual doing the work.  If you get lucky, you'll be pleased with the result,  However, if you get the other guy, be prepared for awful results.   Inspect their work as they're doing it (as I experienced, some of the damage simply cannot be undone).

I would not use Glass Guru again and would not recommend them.  I do have pictures showing examples of the shoddy workmanship if needed.
