"Many of the statements Mr. [Member Name Removed] makes in his complaint are untrue. He hired us to do a small roof repair. We did the work and there were no issues for around nine months until the following winter. Mr. [Member Name Removed] claims that we wouldn't come to inspect the problem. That is completely false. Our crew inspected the work we did, our Installation Manager inspected the work that we did, and our General Manager Inspected the work that we did. We have GPS records for our company vehicles to document these visits. All three reported that the work was done properly. Mr. [Member Name Removed] told me that he had a written report from another roofing contractor stating that our work was deficient. I asked him to provide that report to me so that we could investigate it and that if our work was deficient, that we would repair it under our warranty. He refused to do so and threatened a lawsuit unless we refunded his money. I told him that unless he provided with a third party report or other credible evidence that our work was deficient, that we would not refund his money because we fulfilled our contract and the work was done properly. Mr. [Member Name Removed] filed a lawsuit against our company and against me personally alleging fraud, among other things. After 18 months in court, most of Mr. [Member Name Removed]'s complaints have been dismissed by the court, including the claims that our contract was illegal, that our contract violated the Ohio Consumer Sales Practice Act, and that we failed to honor our warranty. Mr. [Member Name Removed] eventually hired another contractor to replace his roof. As a part of this contract, structural modifications were made to his home as part of the re-roofing work. Our $1300 roof repair contract did not include any structural work. It was our opinion that Mr. [Member Name Removed] tried to bully our company, and me personally, by filing his lawsuit. We refused to let Mr. [Member Name Removed] bully us because we were confident that our work was done properly and that we were and are in compliance with all State and Federal laws. We believe that the court proceedings have borne this out to be true. We have an A rating with Angie's List and an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. We have been in business since 2009 and have thousands of satisfied customers across NE Ohio. We invite you to visit our Showroom or our website to learn more about our company."
"We installed a roof at Mr. [Member Name Removed]'s home. The installation crew used all materials on the project, we didn't have any additional shingles left over after completing the project. We purchased an additional bundle and his sales representative delivered it to the customer's home. We appreciate the feedback Mr. [Member Name Removed] had given. We pride ourselves on customer service and customer satisfaction. We will work on sharpening our skills and use this feedback to better our customer service."
"We installed K-Guard gutter system on 12/9/14 on [Member Name Removed] s home. When we were contacted with concerns about ice damming at Mrs. [Member Name Removed]'s house, we responded quickly to her concern. We conducted an investigation as to what may be the cause of the ice damming she was experiencing. During the exterior inspection, we found that the attic space was not vented properly and the second floor of the home had vaulted ceilings, which would not allow the proper thickness of insulation that is required in that area. We also found several areas on the flat roof that had punctures through the membrane. We sealed up the puncture holes free of charge. We explained our findings of our investigation to Mrs. [Member Name Removed] regarding the cause of the ice damming she was experiencing. We also provided Mrs. [Member Name Removed] with an estimate to install heat cables in her K-Guard gutter system, which would greatly reduce her ice damming issue she was experiencing. Mrs. [Member Name Removed] opted not to install the heat cables at that time. We had not received any inquiry from Mrs. [Member Name Removed] for some time. We had assumed all was well at this point. Mrs. [Member Name Removed] had called our company explaining that her ice damming issues had returned and were worse than they originally were. We dispatched her sales representative to go out to visit Mrs. [Member Name Removed] and see what was going on. Upon meeting with her, the sales rep discovered that Mrs. [Member Name Removed] had heat cables installed by another company. After further investigation, the heat cables were not installed properly in the K-Guard gutter system. The sales rep had spoken with the person(Chuck) who installed the heat cables and confirmed with Chuck the heat cables were not installed properly. When the heat cables are not installed specifically as they need to be in our gutter system, it will in fact, increase the icicles that a customer receives. The sales rep had explained everything that he had found to Mrs. [Member Name Removed]. She did not believe what she was being told and demanded to speak with a manager. The General Manager then contacted Mrs. [Member Name Removed] regarding the situation. During the conversation between Mrs. [Member Name Removed] and the General Manager, she demanded we send a technician out to fix her issue. The General Manager explained to Mrs. [Member Name Removed] that the only thing that would fix her ice damming issue was to ventilate and insulate the attic properly and unless Mrs. [Member Name Removed] was to have that scope of work completed there was nothing we could do for her besides installing the heat cables in her gutter system properly. Mrs. [Member Name Removed] wanted nothing to do with that option, the General Manager had deeply discounted the heat cables to cover the cost only and to hopefully remedy the situation for her. Mrs. [Member Name Removed] was not happy with that solution and terminated the conversation."
