For the service today, Jay was able to do a visual inspecition of the brakes, test drive our automobile, and then make a diagnosis. No work was needed and he didn't charge us for his time.
My father's sage words of advice in terms of aut repair were that once you find an honest, reliable, auto mechanic: "consider yourself lucky."
We've used them in the past for their "vacation package special" before a long road trip to ensure everything's in good working order.
It's sad that a good auto mechanic is a rarity these days, but Herchicks is one you can count on.

Mike Herchick (the owner) answered the phone and was able to tell me what tires would fit the car and gave me several price/quality options. When I expressed the urgency of the situation, he assured me that they would get my new tires on that day.
Although they were insanely busy, they got my tires on as promised. My kids are safe, the price was reasonable and the family friendly atmosphere will bring me back. I would recommend this company to anyone!
