Fifth Third Bank

In all my years of dealing with banks, Fifth Third Bank is by far the worse. I applied for a loan in March of this year on an investment property that I own. I was originally denied a loan due to the fact that their underwriting department computed my Debt to Income ratio incorrectly. When I provided documentation contesting their computation they state, "Oh we double counted some debts". How can a mortgage department make this critical error? When I stopped by their office in Olmsted Falls, OH the loan officer stated they had a new computer software update and having problems with completing an updated loan application. After stopping by their office on several occasions, the loan officer as either busy or not available. I called on several occasions to get an update and left a voice mail. None of my calls were returned. As of June 01, 2012. they have not properly completed my loan application and the loan officer stated he didn't have time to see me, didn't receive any voice mails from me, and didn't have time to return any calls.

I've been very happy with them. When I had a problem I went into the branch and talked to Mark. One or two times I wrote checks and I didn't have enough money in my checking account to cover it but I had money in my savings account. Mark took care of it at no charge. They were lenient twice and didn't charge me. They've been helpful in a number of different ways. Their punctuality is slightly less than perfect. Darrel Collins is there now and he is as helpful as everyone else. I went in to get a mortgage on my house; we weren't able to do it but he explained to me why. I am so happy with this bank and I invite anybody to use them.
