Fred is the best! I was injured badly and will be off my feet for 3-4 months. Fred came out the day after I called and explained everything we needed to know about stairlifts. We needed the installation quickly, and Fred understood that and installed the lift system 4 days later. He arrived promptly at the scheduled time and the installation was perfect. Since he is chief cook and bottlewasher he promised to take care of any service needed personally. We love our stairlift and could not be more pleased with his service.

My experience was great and the results could not have been any better. I called for an estimate, the owner personally came out at the time indicated. He was very professional, very punctual and readily put me at ease to solve my problems. He told me all the fine points of the Acorn chairlift, how long this company has been around, how the chair operated, the warranty etc. While he was still there I received a call from the rehab facility my husband was at, he was to be released in two days, and I had nothing in place! Unbelievably this wonderful man was able to assure me he had a reconditioned chairlift that would work for us and would be out the next day to install it. True to his word he installed the stair lift in a few hours. We are so pleased with the the installation of the stair lift and I have to say it has been a godsend. I would highly recommend A1 Stairlift, and the professionalism of the owner from beginning to end. He also personally takes care of any problems that may arise, what more could you ask for. He replied quickly to my voice mail asking for an estimate. He arrived promptly and gave me a very reasonable estimate. He ordered the stairlift and it arrived when he said it would. He arrived when he said to install it and installed it quickly and neatly. He was professional and helpful. I had an issue with the footrest that was not the fault of the stairlift but of an unusual problem with my husband's ability to bend his legs. He worked with me to solve the problem and this was after it was installed and paid for. It is so rare to have this type of service from someone today that I had to write a review. He was very professional and answered all our questions and concerns, worked with us to find the most affordable option and guaranteed the equipment. He also offered to come out anytime we had a problem with the stairlift. Very friendly and helpful and seemed very experienced with the equipment. We felt this was a much better option and more personal service than ordering directly from the manufacturer.

We purchased 2 stair lifts from A1 in 2013. The one which is used the most started slowing as it ascended and finally stopped altogether. I sent an email to Fred and he immediately contacted me even though he was out of town at the time and it was the weekend. I gave him the symptoms and he offered to send someone to the house right away to do the work. Since we were going on vacation I told him I'd wait until we both were back in town. When he came out he got right to work and within an hour had the chair functioning again. As always Fred was very courteous and friendly and professional. I asked him about the life of the stair lifts and he indicated that they would basically last forever with battery replacements every 3-5 years.

The installation of the stairlift was within one week from our initial appointment and went very smoothly. Fred explained all the features and ensured everyone was comfortable using it before he left. The stairlift installed is exactly what we needed and works perfectly. There was absolutely no cleanup required on our part. We were extremely impressed with Fred and would highly recommend A1 Stairlifts.

Fred the owner came to our house and gave us a thorough explanation of what we could expect. He measured our stairwells and discussed installation options. His knowledge of the product and his endorsement of the Acorn Brand that he sells convinced me that this would be a good move. Fred scheduled an install date the following week and had the lifts installed in a couple of hours. I was working from home during this time and I barely heard him as he completed the work. We got gently used stairlifts which he happened to have at the time of our purchase and they look and work as if they are brand new. Fred is a very friendly, courteous and professional tradesman who has many years in the business. I am extremely happy that I found him. Having the lifts will greatly benefit my wife and increase her quality of life in the weeks and years ahead. This is a plus for staying in our home, at least for now.

My parents want to stay in the older duplex we share with them but had trouble with the stairs. We had Fred Rolph of Acorn Stairlifts come out and install this chair for them and they love it!
