Well, this took about a year to complete the job.  This was not really the fault of the company, just a complication of living in Shaker Heights.  The LR window was 9ft x 12 ft!  So we needed to go before the architectural review board since Andersen  will not make a window that large. We had to replace it with 3 windows.  The other windows needed to match so we went back to the drawing board several times with Andersen Windows before we ended up with a design that I liked and Shaker would approuve.  Britt  went before the board and argued with them and won!.  LL stuck with me despite all the complications.
The windows look beautiful and the design was perfect for my house.  The quality of the windows is much better than the companies that advertise on the TV and radio. They are classy which befits my Shaker Georgian colonial.
Randy the installer was amazing.  The workmanship was exceptional.  We do not have a square corner in this place and they made it look perfect. We also have an arched window.  The trim work was perfect,
The palladian window was rotted including the surrounding exterior trim.  They matched replacement trim perfectly which involved a keystone  arch with a copper covered cornice.  They used a composite which will not rot.  It looks nearly identical to the original.
Unfortunately when they took the protective film off one window, there were scratches from the factory. Andersen sent out a rep.  They stood behind it and will replace the window. This was not the fault of the installers.
I am completely satisfied and will use them again,
This has made a huge difference in the appearance and comfort of the house.

The job was completed on time as promised and the installers did a good job. The price was a bit more than we wanted to spend but we are pleased overall. I did not know how to remove the screen; when I called the person who made the sale, he never bothered to get back to me. So I called the owner who personally came out and showed me how the windows worked and how to clean them or remove the screens.

They were excellent. They are highly skilled; prices are reasonable, honest and timely. I couldn’t give them a higher rating as they are excellent. Everything went very smooth. They were very professional throughout all of it. They came when they said they would come, they delivered the doors when they said they would be here. One man came even twice to measure to be sure because my doors were not sized, so they had to make some custom. They came and measured twice to be sure he had them right and that is very professional I think.

Replaced our windows for the addition. Took longer than expected for the windows to arrive but installation went without a hitch. Lyndhurst Lumber is a family-owned local company that has been used by our friends in the past. We expect the Anderson windows will last a long time unlike the ones we replaced (Weathershield) that rotted out completely and the company would not stand behind its warranty.

The first experience I had (the 2x12 order and delivery) was a little rocky.  The initial purchase went well.  I even forgot my list at the store and Al called the next day to ask if I still wanted it.  They had to get the 2x12's delivered from their contractor location to the consumer one, and then were going to deliver it to me.  Al thought that they would deliver it three or four days after I bought it.  After a week went by I had neither seen nor heard from them, so I called and asked about the order.  I spoke with a different employee who said he would check and call me back.  Later that day Al called back and apologized for the mix-up saying that when my order arrived in-store for delivery the guy who received it had put it in stock instead of having it delivered.  It was dropped off at my house the next day, and they called about an hour before coming by to ask where I wanted it set down, etc.  I had bought a few 2x12's from Home Depot where they were slightly cheaper per foot, but the quality of the lumber I got from Lyndhurst was much better and worth the increase in price.
My second experience was much smoother.  I wanted about 280 feet of 1 inch wide pine quarter round molding so I visited the store and spoke with Lenny.  They didn't have that much in stock so he had to special order it, but gave me a bulk discount per foot because I was buying so much.  He called me two days later to say that it had arrived and was very patient while I worked out my cut list.  He quickly measured and cut all of the molding (about 40 cuts in all), then helped me load it into my car.
I've gone in several other times, but the bottom line is: while big box stores like Home Depot, Lowes, and True Value/Ace stores carry some lumber and price it cheaply the wood is usually badly marred and torn up.  The quality of the wood I get at Lyndhurst is so much better that I am happy paying a few cents more per foot.  Also, big box stores charge for more than three cuts and make you wait days to get them while the guys at Lyndhurst will make as many cuts as you want while you wait.  Plus they are much more knowledgeable and helpful than the average HD employee.

When he installed windows his carpentry work was amazing. Delani is one of the best carpenters I have ever seen. He completely removed the window by going all the way down to the stud, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the work. I will have them to work on the doors next.

the screens were loose, areas bulging out. they needed tightened. i failed to examine them when i picked them up. silly me. when i got home and found them wanting, i needed to turn around and go back. no one offered an apology for my inconvenience. it was like it didn't matter to anyone that the work had been shoddy.

The installer that performed the work was absolutely fabulous, and the people I started the project with were great. However, after installation some concerns came up, and the previous employee at Lyndhurst Lumber I had worked with had left the company. It was a little hard coordinating a fix with the new hire, however it did finally get sorted out and I am extremely satisfied with the final product.

I live in one of those old homes where all the doors and windows were built on site when the house was constructed. It is really difficult to find crafts people who can do replacement work. Lyndhurst Lumber is that place. Rick Reid, the carpenter, came out, took measurements and we discussed the type of wood and windows I wanted to replace an exterior door on a landing that had rotted out. He did not try to sell me the most expensive wood, gave me good advice about the glass for the windows and I chose the brass fittings through Lyndhurst Lumber. After the door was hung, he cleaned up, vacuumed with an industrial vacuum, and instructed me to immediately prime and paint the door to protect it (I do my own painting). 3 days after the door was hung, Lyndhurst Lumber called to see how I liked it and reminded me about the paint. It was already painted - at $2200 I have to protect my investment!

Visited Lyndhurst Lumber and saw awning on display. Was shown a demonstration of remote features. Ordered the awning (18') and requested installation by May 20th. Installers came on May 19th and installed the awning. Everyone involved was very professional.

I'll go back to them to replace the windows on my porch. They're also very clear, professional, and businesslike. They're not the cheapest, but I'm happy to get what I pay for. The installer took his time doing the installation to make sure it was just right. He went out of his way to do a good job.

LYNDHURST LUMBERS SERVICE IS OUTSTANDING... IT`S A SMALL LOCALLY OWNED STORE SO IT CAN BE BUSY; BUT IT`S WORTH WAITING YOUR TURN TO TALK TO THE OWNER AND OTHER SALES REPS IN THE WINDOW AND DOOR STORE. BRITT RABURN, THE OWNER, MEASURED OUR DOORS TO ENSURE WE HAD THE CORRECT CUSTOM REPLACEMENTS FOR OUR NON STANDARD-HEIGHT DOORS. HE ALSO MATCHED COMPETITIVE PRICES FROM LOCAL HARDWARE STORES. HIS INSTALLERS REPAIRED UNSEEN EXTENSIVE WATER DAMAGE TO THE FRAMING OF THE HOUSE. THE INSTALLERS MADE AN EFFORT TO BE NEAT AND CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES, BUT THEY COULD HAVE PUT UP A FEW MORE DROP CLOTHS AND SCREENS. THE MOST EXTRAORDINARY THING WAS BRITTS HELPING US GET TWO SETS OF REPLACEMENT PATIO DOORS UNDER WARRANTY FROM A PRODUCT LINE THAT HE DIDNT EVEN CARRY! HE LINKED US UP WITH THE OTHER COMPANYS SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE AND CHECKED UP ON OUR PROGRESS.
