Our 16 year old wood windows and trim were in rough shape. The winters and blazing hot summers had taken their toll. Most of our windows are large with many individual panes of glass. We have wooden raised panel shutters and lots or moldings and trim. Rick and his team worked though our latest heat wave this June to bring our home back to life. This was a restoration project. The results are stunning. Attention to detail, quality materials, and true craftsmanship are hallmarks of Weast Professional Painting. We waited to get on Rick's schedule first thing this summer. We are glad we did.

Rick has painted for us in four different homes over the last decade, and we would never consider using anyone else now that we have found him.  He doesn't really advertise...he doesn't need to.  His happy customers refer him enough to keep him very busy.  He keeps it small to ensure quality which means you may have to wait for him, but he's totally worth the wait.  
Rick paints your home like he is painting his own.  If he identifies a problem, he addresses it with you and helps you solve it...he doesn't just paint over it.  For example, he found some rotten exterior trim.  He fixed the minor issues himself and helped us arrange a carpenter to repair the larger problems.  With this rainy season, we have had a lot of ants.  He noticed where ants were coming into our home and even sprayed the area before caulking and painting.  Speaking of caulking, he is the king of prep work!  Painting is the easiest part of the job, and he is a master, but where he really shines is in preparing everything for the paint.  He power washed everything, dusted for cobwebs, caulked, cleaned, and spackled.

I've used Weast Professional Painting for over a decade inside and outside my personal residence. I could never be convinced to use anyone else for my painting needs because there would not be anything he does in preparation and finish, that could be done better by anyone else. He is a master of application.
We have wood windows and I waited about a year too long before having him come back out to repaint, and discovered two a sill and two sashes that had begun to have some rot.  Rick was able to dig out the rotted wood with a small screwdriver and used an epoxy resin to rebuild the damaged area to arrest the problem. It wasn't cheap but we shouldn't expect that it would be.  That's because it takes more time, and requires patience, skill, and extra effort. But those traits are in abundance for Rick Weast. He is remarkable.
