The New Studio

Dianne was very creative and helpful with my son and his senior photos. She was personable, patient and made us feel welcome. Her work is beautiful! We just had a family session done and can’t wait to see the proofs.

Pros: Excellent customer service, relatively low cost and quick turn-around. Cons: Sub-par quality of pictures. The product pictures were improved a little bit from the initial draft using photoshop, but still lacked professional touch, and did not meet our need. Hence, we had to re-take them at another studio.

I've just published my second book and have contracted with an organization to provide publicity for the book's launch. The agency needed a professional headshot for the campaign materials, not a one-off taken by a cell phone. I put this off for as long as I could, then called The New Studio. Dianne explained the service and fees, made several suggestions on clothing to bring to the shoot, and scheduled a time that fit my deadline.  
Once there, she took a number of shots with varying backgrounds and clothing combinations. Her directions make the process as easy as it could be for a photo-averse subject. Once she'd finished taking the pictures, we moved to her office to review the raw images and quickly narrowed the selection to three. I received the image files the next day as promised. Better images than I had hoped (expectations set by the subject being photographed, not the skills or professionalism of the photographer), in two resolutions; exactly what I needed.

The photographer was very friendly, very helpful, I thought she did a good job, I don't know my pictures yet but she was just a very warm and helpful person. The place was pleasant. I don't have any basis of comparison on price.

Diane who was the photographer for all our events is very laid back but professional.  She relaxes everyone and makes the session enjoyable.  The day of a wedding is very stressful, but Diane and staff made the photography portion of the day stress free.  She was energetic, had great ideas, and kept the sessions moving quickly by keeping groups of people organized.  She takes her time at the event to get the best shots.  She also takes time to go over the proofs until you get exactly what you want.  She even made taking a 17 year old boy's senior picture fun. Most important of all the pictures are beautiful.   I would recommend The New Studio for all of your professional photography needs.

Dianne did a great job with my head shots.  She was very helpful and professional, and the photos turned out great. I would recommend her to others and use her services again.

What a great experience we had at The New Studio!  Our son's session was smooth, professional and efficient and yielded LOTS of terrific photos that really captured him -- both his appearance and personality. Dianne's flexibility and sense of adventure in allowing us to bring our fire pit and build a fire out back were very appreciated and resulted in a very memorable shot that really documents an aspect of John that is an essential part of who he is and what he loves. She also took some shots with his saxophone intended to parallel - and ultimately be framed with - prints of my father when he was the same age.  These also turned out beautifully and will create an heirloom piece that we will treasure forever. 
Dianne has a million props and backdrops in her expansive studio space and is a consummate artistic director in quickly assessing each outfit/vignette and selecting just the right items from her collection to create the perfect background and set-up for each shot.  The art AND science of the editing/production process was also so professional and critical to making the final products absolutely beautiful.
It is possible in this age of technology and desktop publishing to shortcut the process of portrait photography and spend less -- but the results will never be as outstanding as what we received at The New Studio.  They have invested an incredible amount in their studio space, props, backdrops, cameras, lighting, computer systems, etc.  plus you benefit from decades of experience and artistic gifts that are both God-given but also developed over many years of training and hard work.  This all deserves to be fairly compensated -- so while there are cheaper options available, I believe you get what you pay for.  If your budget allows, I don't think you can go wrong with a top-rate studio like The New Studio and the warm, personable, and professional photography of Dianne Bomar.  She's the best!

Dianne and her staff are fantastic!  She is very professional and very good at what she does.  She has an amazing array of backdrops and props available.  They made my son feel at ease while taking his senior pictures and we got some wonderful shots.  Dianne produces excellent work and is quick, flexible, and friendly.
