Lemke did a great job in replacing the sink disposal that had broke down

Lempke's guys came in and very quickly determined we had a shower splash/grout problem, saved me a fortune not having to cut into the ceiling below. I've been using Mike's team for years and would absolutely recommend them for any plumbing job.

Went great and no more leaks! They arrived on time and were very nice to work with and answered all my questions. They put in new piping and a drain as mine was rusted out.

Brandon came in checked out problem and gave me my options. The first way he said we could was all e needed. So Brandon actually saved me money. He was very polite and did an excellent job.

They responded quickly, found the problem and brought in a heavy duty heater to warm up the basement where the pipes were located. Nice guys, local family business. Have no idea if the price was good or not, but happy to have someone respond!

We had back-up in our kitchen/utility sink line and in a bathroom sink. We tried several providers on Angie's list and Lemke Plumbing was able to come out the soonest. Jacob Lemke who did the work was kind, sympathetic, professional, and honest. He explained clearly what the problem was, how our system functioned, and what the best way was to avoid blockages in the future.

I have a water heater that was going into a “lock-out” mode when the water heater detected an issue and stops running. I can unplug the water heater and plug it back in and it will start running again. On 08/10/16, I contacted Lemke plumbing when the water heater went into the lock-out mode to see if they could diagnose / troubleshoot the issue. Mr. Lemke showed up to look at the water heater. He indicated it was difficult to troubleshoot intermittent issues. He simply vacuumed around the water heater. He did not try to diagnose the issue, inspect the burners, look at the wiring, hook up a ohmmeter/voltmeter, nothing… besides vacuuming. He was going to charge me $149 for just vacuuming. He said if I paid cash, he would only charge me $95, but I would not get a written receipt for the service ( Huh?) . Of course I paid the cash price of $95 since all he did was vacuum around the water heater. He said the next time it happened, to not plug the water heater back in when it happens, and he would take a look at it. On 9/21/2016, the water heater went into “lock-out” mode again. I contacted Mr. Lemke at Lemke Plumbing, but he was too busy to service the water heater that day. I went ahead and plugged it back in and looked for another company to service the water heater. I found another company that came out the same day I called them . The other vendor actually diagnosed the water heater issue instead of telling me they could not troubleshoot an “intermittent” issue. They inspected the burners and the wiring from the electronic ignition to the pilot light and determined the wiring had a small cut in it that was causing it to short on occasion. It has been 7 months since the other vendor (NOT Lemke Plumbing) replaced the wiring and I have not had the issue re-occur. Bottomline, in regards to water heater issues that might involve any kind of troubleshooting, I will NOT use Lemke Plumbing again.

Lemke Plumbing was very professional and I was pleased with there services.

Cleared clog in drainpipe. Called Tuesday afternoon, he came the next morning (which was the day before Thanksgiving) so we could use our sink and dishwasher to prepare for Thanksgiving dinner the next day.

WORK WAS EXCELLENT - BUT I WAS GIVEN AN ARRIVAL TIME BETWEEN 10 AND 12. I CALLED AT 12:10 AND WAS TOLD HE GOT DELAYED AT ANOTHER JOB. FINALLY SHOWED UP AT 1:50 - DID A GREAT JOB AND EXPRESSED SORROW ABOUT THE DELAY. I WOULD HIRE THEM AGAIN BUT BE EXPLICIT ABOUT THE TIME AND ASK THEM TO CALL ME IF THEY ARE RUNNING LATE. (MY BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT WAS HE DIDN'T CALL ME BEFORE NOON TO TELL ME ABOUT THE DELAY, I HAD TO CALL HIM.) THE YOUNG MAN WHO CAME IN THE AFTERNOON DID CALL ME TO TELL ME HE WAS ON HIS WAY.

I felt that the service was truly great once I was able to coordinate schedules/times. I tend to be pretty particular about communication/scheduling as it is difficult to coordinate with my job. I had a bit of difficulty getting this job off the ground, and I think that was partially my fault in being geographically far away. We had some rain that also derailed our plans. Either way, I would have preferred a little extra communication and a little bit more of a prescriptive scheduling approach, but like I said, maybe that is the price we pay for great plumbing. Mike did fantastic work, the copper work was great, as the house is 100+ years old. He also added a ball valve so I can shut off the water in the winter to the outside etc. Needless to say, once I was able to coordinate with Mike, he did fantastic work. I cannot say whether the price was the best I could have gotten, but I know that he could have charged me more and chose not to given the scheduling difficulties. Simply put, Mike is an honest guy, a hard worker, he does quality work, and we might need to all pitch in and get him a secretary. :)

I called Mike Lemke after getting an estimate from another large company in town who told me that the only way to fix our water line leak, at the foundation of the house, was to put in a new copper line all the way to the meter (255 feet from our home) and that it would cost $17,000 to $20,000. In addition, in order to do the work, two of our neighbors yards would need to be torn up in the process. My first clue about this ridiculous estimate should have been that the salesman/serviceman had a loan application ready for me to sign along with the announcement of this over-the-top estimate, along with a quote that would only last for 24 hours and then be higher if we waited to sign. Mr. Lemke assured me, after completing a thorough inspection of all areas of concern, that the only copper line that needed replaced was 10 feet from the foundation where it attached in our basement. He wrote me an estimate for $2,500 - $3,000 that day and Lemke plumbing completed the entire project 2 days later, all in one full day. I think it's important to note that I never mentioned to Mike Lemke the estimate from the other large company before he gave me his quote, and he never asked. This just speaks to the honesty/integrity of the company and plumbing expertise (confidence in quoting true prices for only the service needed) that Lemke Plumbing can offer. Mike, and his two sons, Jacob and Mike Jr. were all friendly, professional, went out of their way to ensure that our home and landscaping were protected and cleaned up as much as possible during the work process and treated us with respect. They went above and beyond to assure that the job was completed professionally and with quality and care. In addition to the water leak, Lemke plumbing installed a water softening and purifying system which we had purchased at Lowe's on our own. The charge for these 2 services was very fair and included in the $2,900.00 overall charge for all services provided. The water leak has been completely remediated and Lemke plumbing even installed new pressure valves and joints to prevent future problems. Our water softening and purifying systems are working great as well. No one wants to have to deal with a water leak or plumbing excavation problems, but if this happens, don't hesitate to call Lemke Plumbing. The best part is we now have a trusted local plumber we can count on any time we need service. We've already recommended them to many friends and family.
