This isn't my first experience with Furniture Fair, and the first experience wasn't good either. They will not budge on their $100 delivery/setup cost even if it's one item or not your fault you have to have it delivered.
My first experience with Furniture Fair I was all set to buy a bed for $519. I called to speak with the salesman and left him a message about getting a reduction on the delivery since it was only one item. He did not even have to courtesy to return my call. This was the Fields Ertel store.
I thought I'd give Furniture Fair another try, but I went to the Fairfield store on purpose so I wouldn't have to deal with this rude individual. They only had a floor sample of another bed we wanted, and it was scratched badly. At least that is what I was told. It wasn't true. They had one and quot;newand quot; bed of this model in the warehouse. The salesperson at Fairfield should have told me this so I wasn't running around like a chicken.
So, I ended up at Fields Ertel anyway. This time I got a lady salesperson. She was mostly helpful and professional.
However, we had to go BACK to Fairfield to pick the bed up. That's where the warehouse is, and I wanted to avoid the $100 delivery charge. When we started to assemble the bed, it was missing parts. So, I called up lady salesperson who said I should have checked the boxes on the loading dock in the freezing cold. This is because it's a clearance item and technically no returns. I informed her the bed was not new like I was told. There were utility mark slices all over the boxes and missing pieces.
In order to get this bed, we had to accept the floor model at Fields Ertel. It had some scratches too but not as bad as the other store. Then, I felt like I had to accept the delivery and installation just to make sure nothing else got screwed up. So, I had all this hassle and still had to pay the $100 delivery charge. I will go out of my way not to do more business with them. I will not recommend them to anyone.

I really liked the sales person and her name was Marie. She was very helpful but she wasn't pushy. When you enter into a furniture shop you feel like waltzer whooping down on you and she wasn't that kind at all and she was wonderful. They have very different collections. I sat on lot of sofas and I ordered a rug out of a catalogue that they had. They had catalogues of pictures of different rugs that I could order. I was a little apprehensive about that but it looked exactly as in the picture when it came and it is really nice. Everything is positive. Their price was reasonable and was cheap.

The kids' bed is huge and has a slide, etc. It took the two delivery guys a good two hours to put it together but they did it just right with no complaints and made sure we approved of the job. No complaints with the king size bed frame set up, either. They helped us decide how to best use the space in the room.

The experience was fine. The sales people were not pushy and were willing to cut the cost on an item that was mis-labeled. It wasn't as low as it was listed, and they were willing to give me that price even though it was their fault.

It was excellent because they gave me a discount that was unadvertized. They had no problems getting in the items that they don't normally carry on the floor. My sales person, Karie Bedmarik, was very helpful and the delivery was on time.

Sales staff knowledgeable however upon delivery realized that we did not have a chair for the desk and we bought the wrong sized mattress for a bunk bed. Once corrected, all was well as far as getting what we needed. Great delivery staff who took care of furniture, took shoes off when they were in our home and kept all areas clean. As far as the quality of the furniture though, the bulletin board has poor cork that won't hold a push pin. I am going to add a layer of cork to the bulletin board on the desk and dresser cork area/mirror area and there are many staples poling out here and there that we had to remove to not injure our child in the areas near where he sleeps under the bunk bed. We like the set up, wished the quality of furniture was a little better.

PROMISED 6 WEEK DELIVERY. OUR OVERALL EXPERIENCE INCLUDES SERVICE WITH THE FIRST CHAIR. MRS. REEVES IS EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS FINDING COMFORTABLE CHAIRS. WHEN WE FOUND THE FIRST ONE WE AGREED TO PURCHASE IT. THE STORE POLICY WAS NOT TO SELL THIS PARTICULAR CHAIR OFF THE FLOOR. WE WOULDN'T ACCEPT A CHAIR 'UNSEEN' BECAUSE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF A CHANGE IN PADDING OR OTHER DESIGN WHICH MIGHT NOT HAVE THE COMFORT OF THE CHAIR ON THE FLOOR. THE MANAGEMENT AGREED TO SELL US THE SPECIFIC CHAIR. THUS WE ARE NOW BACK ORDERING A SECOND CHAIR WHICH DOESN'T REQUIRE THE MORE CAREFUL DESIGN.
