BROTHERS PAVING INC

We called and agreed to work and price. We were told work would be done the following Saturday. Work crew showed up two days early. We were packing for a trip and told them they couldn't do the work that day. The man said that's okay, they would do the work on Saturday while we were gone and would send a bill so we could pay. That sounded fine with us. Three weeks later we returned from our trip to discover work is not done. There is no message on our phone answering machine telling us why. We are not inclined to call these people again. They seem to have a scheduling problem in the first place, and we won't deal with "no shows" in the second place. We hired them last year to repave our driveway; and again they showed up unexpectedly and did the work when we were not expecting it. This is a no-no as one's car might be trapped in the garage when they show up and do work unexpectedly. We're not happy with this company.

WE HIRED THIS COMPANY BECAUSE THEIR ESTIMATE CAME IN LOWER THAN OTHERS. THE DRIVEWAY LOOKS NICE BUT I CAN'T GIVE THIS COMPANY TOP MARKS. FIRST, I HAD TO CALL BACK TWICE TO SEE IF THEY WANTED TO DO THE WORK AFTER I SAID WE WANTED TO HIRE THEM. THE DELAY WASN'T LONG. WHILE THIS COMPANY DOES GOOD WORK, THEY SEEM DISORGANIZED IN SCHEDULING. ONE WEEK SPILLED INTO THE NEXT WHICH WAS OKAY BECAUSE OF WEATHER. WHAT WE DIDN'T LIKE IS THAT THEY CAME AND DID THE PAVING WHILE WE WERE OUT OF TOWN. ANOTHER CUSTOMER WASN'T READY SO THEY UNEXPECTEDLY DID OUR JOB EARLIER THAN ANTICIPATED. WE LIKE TO BE HERE WHEN WORKMEN ARE ON OUR PROPERTY. WE ALSO NOTICED THAT A LANDSCAPING LIGHT WAS BROKEN AND THERE WAS SOME WHITE STUFF ON OUR BACK PATIO WHICH LOOKED LIKE PAINT BUT WASN'T. SINCE THESE PEOPLE WERE THE ONLY ONES ON OUR PROPERTY TO OUR KNOWLEDGE, I SUSPECT BOTH PROBLEMS INVOLVED THEM. I ASKED FOR A WRITTEN GUARANTEE OF THE WORK BUT WAS ESSENTIALLY BLOWN OFF.

THEY CAME RIGHT AWAY, VERY PUNCTUAL & PROFESSIONAL, QUITE ADAPTABLE TO MY NEEDS. VAN HILL WAS MY CONTACT, AND WAS A GREAT HELP.
