Warning: Called on a Thursday because I was concerned over a gas leak. I had already checked it myself, but I wanted a professional’s opinion as this is a potentially serious issue. I was advised of a $60 service charge, which was fine. They came out the next day, and I came home from work early to let the them in the house and show them the problem. I was then advised it was going to be $300 for them to check the line (aka spray more soap on the line). At this point, I was concerned over a potential gas leak and already took time off work, so I allowed it. Retrospectively, I should’ve declined. There was no gas leak found, and the man was at my house for no more than 15 minutes. I believe the worker felt bad as he offered a $25 deduction in price. I am not familiar with prices for such services, but after digging further, I have found this to be extraordinarily high. I would absolutely advise anyone to steer clear of this company if all services are priced in this manner. I would have never had them come to my home in the first place if I knew that would be the cost of their service. My father spoke to the owner of the company, Paula, as he was upset for me in this situation, and she was less than pleasant nor understanding. I would like to see a price breakdown for how the $300 cost is calculated. Again, I could’ve declined, but I am speaking for those, like myself, who don’t know any better and who might not have the time off work to consult multiple companies. Avoid.

Upon arrival you stated to our plumber you smelled gas in the area of your water heater. Before any service was started, a price along with the task details of what that price included were presented to you before our licensed plumber began. You authorized our licensed plumber to complete this task along with the cost of doing this plumbing task. Fortunately, after completing the plumbing service exactly as documented on your estimate, authorized by you, and completed according to Hamilton County Public Health Plumbing Codes for public safety, we detected no gas leak at your house. A professional licensed plumber detected no gas leak along with diagnosing no further repairs were needed, and now you are finding fault in the price of the plumbing service being completed exactly as you authorized us to complete. I will record your feedback in our system for future."

I had previously called Best Plumbing for the same type of work 01/23/2020,and they replaced 2 regular toilets with 2 Bidet toilets, and charged me $545. And I called them again today(03/04/2021)to replace my remaining 3 old toilets with same type of Bidet toilets, and they Quoted me $1600 PLUS ..My jaw dropped to the ground, and not sure what changed in 3 months. Its the same Plumber, same type of Bidet toilets, but the PRICE IS 3 TIMES MORE. This is called Highway robbery. I understand if they have to increase their pricing in the new year SAY 20%-30&...BUT NOT 200%. They lost a loyal customer due to their greed.

The work went as expected, very punctual and they did what they need to do, they also fixed the laundry tub and run a cable to the floor drain about 10 feet clear stoppage. The pricing was about average, and very professional and responsive.

I do not recommend BEST Plumbing. Called BEST Plumbing to investigate faint gas smell in basement. They charged $60 just to show up, then requested another $270 to put soap solution on the pipe joints to find the leak. I thought the $270 was excessive and declined the service. BEST Plumbing refused to refund the $60 they charged just to show up.

A big job! Almost 100 yard run. Pulled most of it limiting number of holes dug. Line over 10 ft deep. Got the job done and done right. Have used on several projects since including condo rehab. Appropriate cost, reliable and high quality. Will use again.

they didn't check there work before they left before checking work. my tub faucet knobs were turned back so you couldn't see hot or cold. I flushed the toilet after he left and it kept on running. he did come back and fixed it after I called him.

The man in charge didn't check his work. He put my tub knobs back so you couldn't see the hot and cold. When he left I flushed the toilet and it kept on running. I had to call him back, lucky he wasn't to far away. if you use them make sure you check the work before they leave.

Hooking up the owner supplied lav, tub and toilet was completed. I do appreciate your information and please know BEST Plumbing does give a 1 year warranty on the services that you received. After our office spoke with you over the phone it was determined the toilet, that was supplied by yourself, may need some parts replaced. You may want to contact the manufacturer of the toilet that you supplied, to inquire about the toilet not shutting off. Or, as updated over the phone, BEST Plumbing will be happy to come to your house to investigate why the toilet is running. Our licensed plumbers will investigate the toilet and give you a price of making any necessary repairs to the toilet. Thank you again."

BEST plumbing was able to get a plumber to stop by within a few hours of my call. Joe was able to look over my current set up and saw that it was originally piped incorrectly. He fixed that an verified it was pumping without any leaks. He also showed me the sump pump which looked really old, worn, and rusted. I decided to bring them back the next day rather than risking a failed pump causing issues. Joe did the install the next day, tested it, and at the end went over the installation with me. I will hire this company again for my future plumbing needs. Cost was $60 for the visit the first day and $399 for the new pump install.

When the technician arrived I gave him a printout of a service bulletin I got off the internet. His diagnosis was that it needed a new gas valve and that the repair would cost $866. I had already priced a new gas valve at $162.00 from an internet source making the labor cost $800. I was also offered the option of a new water heater for about $1800. I asked to speak with his manager and discussed the price with him saying I felt that $800 was a bit stiff for this repair and was told that "We don't do business that way." I paid the $60 service call and sent the tech away. Research on the internet revealed that this was a common problem and only required the cleaning of a sensor on the burner.

.Brown colored water started appearing in the hot water only.  After draining and flushing the hot water heater until clear, the color started to come back in a few days which pointed to a bad hot water heater.  After talking to neighbors who had used Best Plumbing and consulting their reviews on Angie's List, I called them up for an appointment to replace the hot water heater.  As the current hot water heater was relatively new, they did not to go ahead without doing an inspection to make sure that the color was not due to another issue which I thought was very professional.  After a quick inspection in the morning they purchased a replacement and the installation was done quickly a few hours later.  They even gave us a discount for a coupon on their web site.

It went quick- they were quick to diagnosis... and they were wrong.  They didn't check all the possible options, they just went with their first instinct that wasn't very sure.  We discovered a few weeks later that the real problem was near the toilet: the water shut off valve to the toilet- it was completely cracked and leaking.  When the tile was being replaced after the leakage problem was "solved" and the toilet had to be removed, the valve popped off because of the pressure and we had even MORE water damage!!

I reviewed the plumbing service we completed in 7/2014 and found we replaced the tub/shower water diverter that was leaking for your master bathroom tub/shower faucet and inspected the bathtub drain lines and water supply lines located in your crawl space for water leaks. The information states the water and drain lines in the crawl space inspected did not indicate any water leak. The information does not indicate an inspection of the toilet for leaks during the visit in 7/2014. I greatly appreciate you bringing to my attention that the toilet was not inspected.. I will review this information with our licensed plumbers that inspected the tub faucet, water line and tub drain line in the crawl space and update with them that your shut off valve located at the toilet was later found to have a leak.. Darryl called 30 minutes before to let me know he was on his way. He took the curved pipe off and cleaned the clog in a few minutes. He cleaned the sink with a cleaner until it sparkled. Wow, that is beyond the call of duty. Darryl is awesome!

I had them out to repair a leak initially. I had also purchased a full inspection which was completed after their repair because I wanted to make sure there weren't any other leaks. It went really well! They showed up right away (we were able to scheduled almost immediately after my purchase) and they took care of everything! I was impressed that they were able to squeeze me in that quickly after the Big Deal purchase!
