He was on time, worked non-stop, was professional, personal and answered all my questions. The charges for all the work were fair and reasonable. Additionally, he returned my phone call promptly and followed up. He happened to have his grandson with him who was also very professional and personable and assisted with the efforts. They also were very neat and cleaned up afterwards. Best in home service I have had in a long time.

Perfect. Completed the job in less time than was estimated, The individual that did the work was very professional, courteous, and cleaned up when finished.

Went great - we were provided a quote, and Bob was able to come out to perform the work the next day! I wasn't sure about spacing for the recessed lights, and Bob provided great suggestions. Bob and his assistant worked diligently and completed the work in approx. 2 hours. The finished product looks great, and we wish we had done it sooner.

This went very well. He came out on a Saturday even though he normally doesn't work Saturdays. He was on time and got the job done in an hour and a half. Very friendly and knew exactly what to do. I definitely would recommend!

The repairman arrived right on schedule, reviewed all the work to be done, then took care of everything.  At every step, he kept us informed as to what he was doing, and how he was troubleshooting our lighting problems.  He worked very efficiently, doing an excellent job.  The bill was very reasonable, and we will definitely call this company again for any electrical service we might need.

This was a challenging job that the cable provider wouldn't try, and was beyond my skill set. Bob confidently figured out some tricky access and got the outlet installed.

We have worked with Bob Bishop's family for years, going back to when he worked for his father in Anderson Township.  In fact, when Bob had his grandson helping him this summer (high school helper), that was the fourth generation Bishop we he have had do electric work.  (This includes Bob's son.)  Over the years, Bob has also done a variety of smaller jobs for us, including interior lighting, outside spot lights, new circuits, etc.

Bob, Action Electric, is one of those companies that you are completely comfortable with having in your home.  They show up when the say they will, finish the job as promised and on time.  Their work is outstanding and they stand behind their service.

This was a code approved project that included an electrical inspection.  The inspection went prefect, as I has expected.

I highly recommend Bob for all of your electrical needs.

We were having issues where one of our breakers kept tripping. It would affect some of our appliances and lighting in the living room. Two men came out and they a father and son team. They were able to re-distribute the electrical to where it more evenly distributing across the rooms. They did have to run to Lowe's and purchase supplies, but they completed all of the work that same day. We are happy with the work they did.

All work was performed as requested by the General Contractor and Architect.  Bob took the time to listen to our needs and helped with a few side projects.  He was able to provide simple, cost-effective solutions.

I have been using him for 21 years. When I moved to Cincinnati, I got their name from a lighting shop in Montgomery. I only paid about $194 and we're talking of an entryway chandelier 2 storeys up that he replaced. I had been quoted a price from Lowe's of $500. He is professional, reliable, and doesn't try to sell you anything you don't need. He is just an all out friendly guy and you just feel comfortable having him in the house. He has always been able to fix or do whatever I needed done like if there was no light in the ceiling, he can put one there.

Found insulation had broken due to poor installation of extension receptacle.

On our way out the door to leave town for the evening, I mentioned to my boyfriend that I had smelled something similar to burning or too-hot plastic earlier that day, and that I smelled it again as we were getting ready to walk out. Being brand new homeowners and having our young dog crated near the distressing smell of something burning, we decided to check Angie's List and make some calls before deciding to head out. Action Electric Service's Bob Bishop himself was the first company to actually answer the call at 630p.m. on a Friday evening, and he offered to stop by in the next half hour or so to personally take a look. My boyfriend had determined that a connector box was too hot to the touch, and he found that on the inside, there was some charring and plastic had melted off of some wires within the box. Mr. Bishop confirmed that to be the issue, and replaced it without a hitch, within a very short 30-40mins, and was easy to converse with as he worked. He assured us we had made the right decision to call someone professional in ASAP to correct the issue, and told us that the connector box had already been ON FIRE, which was why it was charred. It was crystal clear from watching him work that he was a truly knowledgeable professional electrician, and he answered all the questions my curious, handy boyfriend asked him throughout the repair. We felt completely at ease and were still pleased when the actual bill was accurate with the "quote" he gave us via phone ($130 was final bill because job took a bit longer than the anticipated half hour, but the estimate was for $118). I will be calling on Action Electric Service for any and every future call that we may have, and I will surely refer him to anyone I talk to who mentions needing a pro electrician for any job. This was late Friday afternoon and I called multiple companies and Action Electric was the only one who picked up at this time.  I realized it was late in the day but was hoping to get this resolved immediately as we had company coming in for the weekend. Bob with Action Electric was happy to do the work on short notice and didn't take the opportunity to rip me off which is quite refreshing.  I was worried about an after hours charge but he said he charges the same regardless. He was very prompt (within 1 hour) to show up and got right to work.  He was very nice to talk to and answered many questions I had while he worked.  He was quite comical as well making the experience a good one.  He didn't waste any time finding the issue and in about 30 minutes he was done and on his way.  I will absolutely use Action Electric anytime the need arises and would recommend you do the same!
