Overall, the process was ok. My upset was with non-response when I let the company know of an omission. We had originally agreed that the chairs would be covered under the cushions with the same fabric as the rest of the chair. That was not done and the under fabric in not the same.

Mr. Harris was very easy to work with. I went to his shop, selected the fabric and we discussed the details of how the cushion would be constructed. He was very patient in answering all of my questions and concerns. The cushion turned out beautifully and is exactly the quality I was hoping for.

We took the chair to the shop on Friday and pulled out the gimp.  Within an hour, the owner called with price which was reasonable.  On Monday, he called to say it was done.  Picked up the chair and job was well done at less than estimate.

Similar to what the others have said, Good workmanship, a little pricey. The repaired unit was as good as new. With no comparable new unit available, we were happy to get this one repaired.

I would recommend them to others.

Found A La Carte and others on Angie's. They were not the best price but they are reasonable and they have a Smoke Free work room, which was critical. Jim Harris ball parked it over the phone, came out and took the two chairs, leaving the large living room chair. We already had the fabric for the dining room chairs. Sensitive to issue that all chairs could not be gone at one time. Dining room chairs were gone for about two weeks and were beautifully done. Everything is tucked tightly. Piping is great and most important -- matched perfectly. They had positioned a key element of the design in just the right place. Terrific job. The living room chair took 4 weeks, but was done with the same care. Stripes from chair match to stripes on Ottoman. He is very aware of the details. One of the other companies that gave a quote wanted to simplify the style (and had smokers in the work room) so Jim really offers a quality job. Be aware that every trip to your house costs $45 and that the tax in not included in the quote. Had not asked about that.

They did a good job. I would recommend them. The price was fair and, after six months, the couch is holding up well.

Excellent work was done exactly, as I wanted. The reduced height headboard and legs look identical, to how they were before the work, except now they are the exact height, that I wanted. Jim and his team were extremely accommodating, coming to my house to pick up the large king size headboard and doing the work in two days to accommodate our schedule.

Fabulous. He came to my house to pick up the chairs & also returned them to my house. He did a great job on the workmanship & returned them in a timely fashion, exactly when he said he would.

WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH OUR RE-UPHOLSTERED DINING ROOM CHAIRS. WE BROUGHT IN OUR OWN FABRIC FOR THE JOB, BUT THEY HAD A NICE SELECTION TOO. IN ADDITION TO PUTTING THE NEW FABRIC ON THE CUSHION, THEY ALSO ADDED PADDING AND SUPPORT FOR THE CUSHIONS. OUR CHAIRS ARE VERY COMFORTABLE NOW. I CAN'T WAIT TO TAKE MY GRANDMOTHER'S WING BACK CHAIR THERE TO BE COVERED!

THE SHOP WAS HARD TO FIND, BUT MR. HARRIS GAVE CAREFUL DIRECTIONS. I THOUGHT THE PRICE WAS OUTRAGEOUS BUT I HAD BEEN LOOKING FOR A REPLACEMENT CHAIR FOR THREE YEARS AND DIDN'T HAVE A CHOICE. HIS UPHOLSTERY WORK WAS VERY WELL DONE, BUT THE RESTORATION OF THE WOOD WAS POOR AND THE MENDING OF THE BACK WAS NOT DONE.

MR. HARRIS USED MY DAMASK MATERIAL AND UPHOLSTERED SIX DINING ROOM CHAIRS. HE GOT THEM BACK TO ME BEFORE THE HOLIDAY. THEY LOOK BEAUTIFUL AND I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THE WORK. HE CAME TO THE HOUSE, REMOVED THE CUSHIONS, REUPHOLSTERED THEM AND BROUGHT THEM BACK AND PUT THEM ON WITH A POWER TOOL. HE ALSO MADE AN EXTRA TRIP OUT TO BRING BACK MY SPOOLS OF THREAD THAT HE DIDN'T USE AND MATCHED THE MATERIAL I SENT WITH HIM. HE DID A BEAUTIFUL JOB. I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE WORK, THE APPEARANCE OF THE CHAIRS AND THE SERVICE I RECEIVED. THEY PROVIDED EXCELLENT WORK. THE PRICE WAS A BIT HIGHER PER CHAIR, BUT THE LACK OF A TRIP CHARGE MADE A DIFFERENCE. I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER!

RECOMMEND THEM TO EVERYONE. THEY WERE WONDERFUL.
