Not only do I perform home inspections for buyers who are making one of the biggest investments of their life, I am also able to take the home inspection and determine how much it will cost to bring the home up to market value and to code. I am FHA approved which is extremely important in this industry and market. It would be a conflict of interest for my team to work on rehabilitating single family homes for the 203K projects in which I am hired to do consulting work for FHA. Therefore, as a Project Manager, my team typically works on churches, apartment complexes,and other businesses remodeling, siding, fencing, dry wall, and building barns or garages.

203K Rehab Consultant: In today's market when a HUD house and bank owned home is less then perfect, but are naturally great deals because of the slashed prices, in many cases a major rehab project. Or they do not know a reputable contractor. Home Inspector, it stands to reason that you would want to take advantage of the huge savings. Many buyers are gun shy to take on such a project because they may not have the cash reserves to fix up the home

Doug started out well with being friendly and responsive. However, as the project went on, he did not return phone calls or emails. He did not perform thorough inspections of the general contractor's work and put the burden completely on us while it was our first time going through a 203k project. He was paid by us to be a consultant on the project and he did not do his job as such. I would not recommend Doug based on his lack of communication, poor support and guidance to the homeowners, and lack of overall concern for the job.
