Tom Bell is a super nice person and builds a very nice house however he lacks in attention to detail. Also service after the sale is lacking. It took over a year to get our punch list completed. We have been in our home for two years and continue to find problems and oversights that he should have addressed while building the home. Granted some of the issues may have been caused by subcontractors however he should have caught and corrected the problems. The drywall work in the home is completely sub-par, have located outlets that are not secured properly, light switches that are not logical, the list continues to grow. As I said it is a very nice home however the problem is in the details and finish work. The home was extremely overpriced for the quality of workmanship. Had we been aware of all the issues when we bought the home we would have NEVER paid the price we did. Lesson learned.
Response from All American Builders LLC
"Thank you for bringing this issues to light within this website. I would like to take a moment to respond back to you with adequate information. As you know, after the construction of this house was completed, this house set empty for over year. This home was built for a developer within this neighborhood. The developer chose to place this house on the market after again, sitting for over a year. I had a One Year Warranty with the developer in which had since past once you purchased the home. If there were issues with this home, you should have reached out to the seller/broker and not All American Builders. I cannot guarantee that there was adequate heating within in the home while sitting empty for over a year which may have resulted with your drywall issue. In response to your issue with light switch placement, this home was designed and built to the developers specifications. The price of the home should have no bearing on my company and how you feel that it was overpriced. Again, this should have been a bargaining tool when you were purchasing the home. The price of the home as you stated was "Over priced for the quality of the home" - the price you paid for the home was not the price that the home was built for and paid. Again, you should contact your seller/broker regarding this matter. Let us not forget, as a courtesy to you, even though my contract for this home was not between All American Builders and yourself, I did come over and correct items that were brought to my attention. If you would like to discuss this matter any further, you do have my contact information and I would be willing to discuss. Thank you. Tom Bell All American Builders"
