Competitive estimate - contract accepted but after starting job came back to renegotiate due to failure to inspect and note 2 layers of shingles on old roof - Implied homeowner responsible for mistake.
Work was very slow start to finish
Main job OK but finishing details poor throughout job and had to constantly inspect and point out issues
Drip edge installation not finished and now will have to have someone else come to finish due to GRA failure
Upon completion of job punch list. - GRA was contacted numerous times to come back and from 7-27-15 thru 8-14-15 when scheduled he failed to show with no contact from GRA but always had an excuse when contact was made each time
Homeowner had to clean up random roofing debris and constantly use lawn magnet to pick up nails since GRA failed to perform this service GRA was to do.
2 garage windows replaced. - inferior quality of work - homeowner had to monitor work and after leaving homeowner had to clean up debris left by GRA
Dormer leaked after first real rain - GRA did respond to inspect and initiate repair but blamed workers for shoddy work where facia boards were determined needed replaced. However, George Abdella himself had painted over the boards while trimming house. Inside damage to house still not repaired. Will have to call in another party to complete leak and ceiling repair.
GRA took no responsibility/accountability for shoddy workmanship - blamed his men and was unresponsive to homeowner after having been paid. There was no final inspection/follow up done or initiated by GRA. No contact to inquire if job was completed to homeowners satisfaction and/or if any further problems were encountered.

Given estimate of $1600, that was for preparing and painting basement walls with sealer, and 2 coats. Was called at the end of day, and told he needed another $250 for second coat. He came out and spent 40 minutes, touched up a couple of areas, but clearly never did a second coat as was apparent from looking at the walls. I was very disappointed as I felt like I was taken advantage of, 1850 for a little over 6 hours of work.

My Mother's home had some problems involving the roof over the kitchen and the left side of the house. It also needed some soffit and fascia replaced due to wind damage. I contacted ten contractors to get an estimate of cost. Of the ten, only four bothered to contact me or come by the house to look at the roof. I received two estimates, one written and one verbal. Above and Beyond Construction offered a little above our budget. GRA Construction offered well within our budget. Then a sudden storm in our area reeked havoc on the whole state, knocking power out for at least a week for some folks in the area. Just when things got back to normal, we had a death in the family. Time was running out to complete the required work on the home. I called Mr. George Abdella, owner of GRA Construction to see if he was interested and had time to work on the house. He is the most gracious person I have ever met. Within three days, we met, discussed the job, he wrote a proposal which included the soffit and fascia (not included in the original estimate), AND completed the work for a lot less than the original estimate. I am so impressed by this man and his team for his honesty, integrity, work ethic and his Christian values. Simply because Mr. Abdella called me the day his team came and said that they had spotted some missing shingles on the ridge. Mr Abdella told the crew to purchase more shingles and repair the damage. He told me on the phone he wasn't going to charge me for the extra work, if I could find it in my heart to pay him that day. Of course, I was working out of town that day, so I told him that I would hurry back and bring the money to his home. I can't say enough good things about Mr. Abdella and his company, just simply an outstanding person with a great crew. Thanks very much George.
P.S.In case I didn't make myself clear, the work was completed in one day.
