 + -1 moreHe was great to work with--very flexible and knowledgeable about both the piece I was looking to have built, as well as what it will be used for. John is a true craftsman in every sense of the word, and his work is exemplary. He has great attention to detail and true craftsmanship, from the mortise and tenon jointery to the dovetailed drawer construction. John was extremely efficient at returning my calls and e-mails, and he constantly provided me progress reports with digital pictures to monitor the process of the piece being built. If you're close enough to his shop, he welcomes you to come in and watch him at work. Overall, I was extremely impressed and delighted with John's work and with the man himself. He was a pleasure to work with, builds good quality furniture to specification at a very reasonable price.
Description of Work: John Rose built me a custom media center to specification. John worked very closely with me to craft exactly what I had envisioned for my new home theater setup. Using the dimensions of my components and other "wish list" items, John made a detailed sketch and provided many good ideas into the overall design. The finished piece is exactly what I had in mind for our viewing space and perfectly houses my widescreen TV while also serving as a very attractive furniture piece in our home.
