Medina County brought water down our road and sent letters to homeowners saying they could tap in to the county water. There were fees from the county for permits, water meter, water tap and connection fee. There was need for a contractor to do a long water connection. The Medina County Engineer's office had a list of contractors who are licensed to do the long water connection. Several contractors left cards and we chose Croston Construction to do the work. We went to the county office to obtain the permits and pay the various fees. The construction required excavation from the far side of the road up to and through the basement wall. A copper pipe runs from the water line into the house through a water meter. The county was present to approve the installation. Mr. Croston gave us a good price, bringing county water into our house in one day and removing the well equipment and the holding tank. The trench is covered and the dirt will have to settle and then we can plant grass.
Description of Work: A water line was installed from the main line at the street into the house bringing county water into the house replacing a well as source of water.
