The leak was fixed and the garage door area work was acceptable. However, the re-installation of the siding (old & new) by the window and along roof line was a complete failure. When done the siding was visably not level - crooked. They claimed the new siding they used did not fit with the old siding they had re-installed. They put nails through the siding to hold it in place which you could see. When we tested for the water leak the water ran into the siding and exitted directly above a door to my deck. He blammed this on the siding not fitting together too. I was not happy so he reduced his price by a couple of hundred dollars. He claimed the only way to fix it was to replace all the siding on that part of the house. Even though we have little construction experience, a couple of weeks later my son & I re-worked the siding oursleves. Believing what we had been told about the siding not fitting together, we removed some old siding from another part of the house and used it to replace what the contractor had provided. During that process we found that the problem was actually that he had cut the siding at the wrong angle and jammed it into the J channel along the roof line causing it to buckle and not fit together. After we cut it properly it all went back together perfectly. We then took the new siding he had used and installed it where we had removed the old siding. The old & the new siding fit together perfectly. Now, other then a slight variance in color, you cannot even tell where the old & new meet. Would never ever use this contractor again for anything.
Description of Work: Had this company perform some repair work to my home. Had them install some siding and re-worked garage door opening. They also repaired a roof leak by installing some flashing and sealing around a window. This required them to remove and re-install & replace some vynal siding.
