Barry provided the best price quote and was very easy to talk to; I had a high level of confidence that he understood the work I was seeking to have completed. Overall the project went fairly well for the size. The project took a couple months total from beginning to end; I expect it could have been completed a little quicker, but overall was good. One of his workers stepped through the garage drywall ceiling, which was left for me to fix. Replaced soffit with vented soffit. He needed to cut out plywood soffit to allow venting and failed to cut open the plywood soffit for venting on one end of the house (not what I expected). Where he sided the gable ends, with the J-channel, he used small pieces end to end instead of discarding the smaller pieces in favor of buying additional pieces. This looks bad and likely would not have been done like this by a higher quality installer. The same is true for the drip edge / small pieces where a new full length should have been used. He cappep all wood with aluminum, but hammered the aluminum where hitting it with the hammer head should have been kept to a minimum. When he added the 2' overhang on the gable ends, we had agreed how far back on the existing roof he would overlap the plywood, but once I got up in the attic, I found that he saved himself a few sheets by only overlapping back by one joist. He wrapped the chimney; and within 2 years we had flashing leaks around the chimney. Barry did a nice job for the price, but I have buyers remorse and wonder if I could have gotten a higher quality job by shopping a little more. I had viewed his work at other homes, but didn't realize what to work for until my house was finished.
