We reached out to SunSetter for a new awning, and they connected us to Weather Armor as an official dealer/installer. We met with Matt for the estimate, and he walked us through all the possibilities and options (both good and bad). Most of our waiting was for the manufacturer once we decided to buy a 12x20 motorized awning with screen. Total time from buy to install was 4-5 weeks. The installers came out, and installed and cleaned up in under 2 hours. Product works great and performs as expected.

Failure to communicate. Aft release from hospital the cranking of awning was too much. We decided to upgrade to motorized version. When I called to make arrangements I was not informed it was my responsibility to contact the company and order the motor. 6 weeks went by and I contacted Weather Tech again to find out the delay and was informed that I have to place the order. Nice. Another 10 days went by. The only saving grace was the crew showed up on time and did a nice job with cleanup. Here it is the middle of Oct. and we will not be able to enjoy the awning until next spring. I expected more and was disappointed.

During the first visit the crew found that the set of joints were frozen. Replacements were ordered and installed a week later. They also malfunctioned and a newly designed set were ordered. A week or so later these were installed, then the crew realized the extension arms were faulty when they were first installed so a new set was ordered and finally installed. Different crews arrived to work on these four installations over a two month period starting in late August during the summer of 2017. They were last here in late October when one crew person said he’d try to find another part for one last task we’d requested. Per his request I called him twice during the following three weeks to ask if he’d located the part in question. I’ve heard no reply since. Therefore, we have decided to forgo the last requested job we wanted done. Getting a phone call returned has been the most frustrating part of this latest job by Weather Armor. As of late November the job is still not finished. We originally paid extra money to have a wind sensor installed that retracts the awning when winds blows too hard. They took it off the awning arm when they installed the new arms. It is on the window sill not reinstalled.

We requested a contact for installation of a Sunsetter Awning. Was called by Matt on the following day, which was a Sunday, to set up an appointment for someone to come out on Tuesday. I received a visit from their rep, Chad, who went over everything with me and gave me a price on the spot. Since my wife and I work different shifts, Chad agreed to come out the next Saturday afternoon with fabric selections for both of use to see before finalizing everything. We ended up ordering the largest Sunsetter Awning that is made, which is 20' wide and extends out 12'. Within about two weeks, our awning arrived in their stock and they came out the following Monday for installation. A crew of two guys arrived earlier than I expected and finished installation within two hours. The lead guy gave me some instruction on the operation and care of the awning before he left. All Weather Armor personnel were very professional and gave good communication. They also did not require any down payment for their work - they requested to be paid in full once the job was completed. I would recommend them to anyone looking for installation and ordering of a Sunsetter Awning.

Very well. They secured old gutters, emptied out old debris and attached covers. I did a lot of homework, this style makes lots of sense and is rated highly.

Amazing from start to finish. Matt the owner came out to show us our options. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Not pushy at all. We explained our occasional high winds and he assured us that the motion detector would works and quickly. 2 weeks after instillation we had an unexpected wind storm and as I start to panic looking for the remote to pull in the awning it closed itself. Also of note, the 2 gentlemen that came to install were very professional, friendly and efficient. Very good product and great people! I couldn't be happier!

After Weather Armor's crew left for the day I got up on my ladder and checked out the installation. I emailed Matt Reeder (Owner) with my concerns along with pictures on August 25 (day after install) . He called me the next day and told me that they would be out by the end of the next week to take care of the problems. Since then I have not been able to get him to contact me. I emailed again on September 12, 24, & 29. Still no reply. I'm in the process of filing a complaint with the BBB. Below are the problems I contacted and sent pictures to him about. 1. Damaged gutter glove covers installed ( screen on one was cut from top to bottom, tear the size of a quarter in another cover) 2. Gutters leaking 3. Water dripping of my gutters at a majority of the gutter glove seams (told me that he knew how to fix it ... no problem) 4. Gutter Glove covers improperly installed at valleys of my roof leaving 2 inch openings in the gutter glove covers to catch debris & wash directly into gutters. Improper install at valleys also created holes where the gutters meet at the 90 degree. The holes are so large that they couldn't be sealed. Warning to anyone who ignores this post ... Don't pay until you've inspected the entire project. You'll regret it if you do.

Called Matt on Wednesday and he had Chad come to our house on Friday. Chad came to our house found the problem and repaired it. Chad was very thorough (he even found another issue with a front gutter and he was on time (actually arrived ahead of schedule). Thank you for your quick response and Chad's professionalism.

Update on previous review. I posted a update earlier but must have been lost. Accidentally called Matt, I hung up the phone I thought before it rang. Matt called me back and said he was sending Cory out to look at our problem. Cory came out on time. Started to repair the problem, when it started to rain. Cory saw the rain flowing over the new gutter guards. Said he would talk to Matt about installing an additional downspout to solve the problem. Cory told me he would call in the morning, then come out to our house. Next morning Cory called and said he got the ok from Matt and he would be right out an install the new downspout. Cory did a very nice job with the downspout, plus he installed 2 deflectors. Saturday, August 27, there was a brief but heavy rain. The downspout and deflectors worked perfectly. Cory and Matt I believe wanted us to be happy, and my wife and I are. The downspout was added at no additional charge.

Very Poorly. I purchased my Sunsetter Awning in May. The installation was delayed a week because the installers truck broke down. When the installer arrived with the awning, his normal helper was not available, so he brought his girlfriend who was in a foot cast. As he was partially through the install, I went out to check and he had started to install the awning just above the door when the contract specifically said it should be at the soffit. After talking to the installers boss, the awning was moved to the soffit and I was assured the siding would be repaired. It is now the last week of August and my siding is still not replaced. I have called Weather Armor numerous times leaving messages and received not response. I also emailed Sunsetter, since they recommended Weather Armor, they replied that they would get back to me, three weeks and no contact. My cost represents the awning and install.

Matt came to the house. He was on time. We talked on our back porch. I liked him. Found him very personable. We ordered the gutter guards for our gutters. Said it would be approximately 2 weeks before installation. Maybe after a week went by I got a call, they could install the gutter guards on July 5th. The 2 man crew was polite and went about their work in a professional manner. They installed the gutters on the front of the house, around the garage, and around the back porch. One of the young men came to the door and said they would do the back of the house first thing the next morning. They couldn't complete the job the first day because they needed a taller ladder. To be fair, no money had been paid for their work. They didn't show up the next day. After 2 weeks went by I called Matt. He didn't know the work wasn't completed. He sent the same crew over to our house the next day or two. The work was completed, and I gave them a check. It had been very dry, didn't know how well the gutter guards worked. When it finally did rain, water just poured over the gutter and new gutter guards onto the patio. I called Matt, he sent out his repairman. The repairman said the first crew should have put something up, forget the name, to keep the water from flowing over. He didn't have a large enough piece on his truck to do the job. Said may take a couple days for the part to arrive in their shop. It has been two weeks since then. Tried to call Matt again. My call has not been returned. Very disappointing.  UPDATE: When it rained hard on August 27, the downspout and deflectors worked perfectly. Cory did a wonderful job. I believe Cory and the owner Matt wanted us to be satisfied, my wife and I are satisfied. The work was done at no additional cost to us

I had purchased a SunSetter from COSTCO with the intention of performing the install myself. After some consideration I decided to have someone else perform the install.
I looked on Angies List and found Weather Armor. They had good scores so I called and made an appointment for the install.
On the original install date the weather was rainy and with high winds. They called before coming out and rescheduled to the next day due to the weather conditions.
The installed showed up a little before the scheduled time and work steadily until the installation was complete.
The installers were knowledgeable and answered any questions I asked.
They did a really good job with the install and I am complete satisfied with their work.
They also fully explained the functions and how to used/reprogrammm the remote.
I highly would recommend them if anyone were to ask if I knew someone who installed or sold awnings.

This is an updated review: I called Matt Reeder (6/2/15) to arrange repair on a leaky area of the gutter.  He said he would have a crew in the area sometime the end of the week and they would call to schedule an appt.  I never heard from them and called Matt again on 6/8/15 and left him another message but he never returned my call.  My gutter leaks so bad that I have a garbage can under the leak and it fills the can to the top.  Although, we love the gutters they are not easily serviced.  I have had others try to repair leaks but to no avail.  Apparently Wealther Armor will sell/install but not repair their own product. After the above review with the "F" grade, Matt called me very apologetic and indicated he thought the service had been completed. He arranged for the crew to come on 7/30/2015 for do the repair. This time they came and caulked the gutters.  This repair did not work at all.  I called Matt back on 9/1/15 and he arranged for another crew to come on the very next day!  This crew replaced the corner and caulked as well as checked the opposite corner to make sure that was fine. We only had one really rainy day since the repair but it seems to be working.  Both crews were great, professional and efficient.  We really like these gutters-they are the best we have ever had, but you sometimes have to work to get them serviced. Hopefully, that will improve.  I give the gutters an "A" but servicing a "B".

Apparently after looking at the service records it rained 22 out of 26 days and this service was not completed. It will be this week."

We had a Sunsetter 14x12 awning installed over our patio July 15 2015. Everything went perfect! our sales rep came and measured our patio and made a size recommendation. We went with the 14x12 and we had many color samples to chose from. We chose the color wheat to match our house color. It took 2 weeks for our awning to arrive and the installers completed the install in just over an hour. They answered all our questions and showed us how to operate the remote control. They were very nice and did an outstanding job! Thanks to everyone at Weather Armour for making this a enjoyable purchase. We highly recommend Weather Armor!
