Advanced Boarding & Grooming

When we came to pick her up, the kennel gave her back to us with severe uncontrollable diarrhea and had been allowing her to lay in her own feces. They tried to cover that up by giving her a quick rinse when we came to pick her up, and we wondered what the delay was as we waited for them to bring her out. I noticed right away that our dog smelled bad but I didn't know why. When we got her home, I could see that she had major diarrhea, so I called the kennel back to ask about it. They tried to pass it off as something that had just happened that morning, but when I asked why I had not been told of the problem when we picked her up, they didn't have an answer. Note that our dog has never had this problem before at a kennel - and has not had it since. It caused us to have to take her to the vet, put her on medicine, and delay our plans for the next couple of days until she got better.

This incident proved they weren't watching the dogs and didnt know she was even hurt. Their lack of sympathy and taking responsibility was discouraging.

We gave them a chance after multiple negative reviews we read, but after experiencing issues with our dog, we are not going back.

This was the first visit with Advanced Boarding and Grooming. Recommended by my vet's office assistant. Also signed up for Angie's list to check out the facility. Read all the reviews and was impressed so called them. My dog had the private suite which costs more but was more accommodating as she is ten yrs old. My dog has a hard time being left at a kennel. She was very well taken care of - had one on one time. Really liked the check sheets they do on a daily basis. We were able to call and see how she was doing - was given a good report. The place seems very busy so this shows how popular it is with others. When we picked up our dog, the owner talked to us privately about a health issue she thought we needed to address with our dog. We really appreciated this about the owner - she cares about the dogs in her care.

We rescued a Doberman four months ago from the local shelter. We have tried with no success to trim her nails. Last time we even went near a paw she snarled and put up a big stink. I looked online and Angie's list and found Advanced Boarding and Grooming. I emailed the office my contact information, and within 24 hours heard back. I was impressed by the website that the owner and some members of her staff had Dobermans, this was exactly what I wanted to hear.
My Husband and I took London in and spoke with Jocelyn the owner at length about what to expect and some concerns we had. Jocelyn rested our minds that London would be in good hands, and after talking with her I gained more knowledge about my dog, and felt very positive that Jocelyn would get her nails trimmed, making it a positive experience for both London and ourselves.
Picked London up at 5pm, as she stayed in daycare to get her familiar with the surroundings for the first nail grooming. We were over the moon when we picked her up! Jocelyn had a video of the nail grooming, and my dog was an angel! that really made us happy. Not only did Jocelyn go above and beyond our expectations, we now have found a great daycare, and regular groomer for our Doberman. I would highly recommend Advanced Boarding and Grooming for everyone. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. The site is clean and well maintained. So happy I found them!

This was our first time using a boarding kennel. Our vet suggested Advanced Boarding. I started by checking Angie's List, then checking out the website, then calling to schedule. The staff were friendly and courteous. The answering machine recording also gives a lot of helpful information about the facility. I appreciated listening to the recording before speaking with the staff personally. When I dropped off our puppy, other people were picking up their pets and telling us how much our puppy would love her stay. I was also able to pick up a brochure with pricing and details about the company's services, along with a business card, and I was reassured that I could call every day if I wanted to ask how our puppy was doing. When I came to take her home, she was calm and happy, and I received a detailed report card of each day of her stay. From what I have observed, the staff are caring and love pets. I am glad we have found a kennel that we can rely on for future needs.

Groomers told me the puppies did very well and they look and smell great.

Puppies love going to doggie daycare there. They have met other doggie friends there and are excited to go.

We love this place and our dogs have enjoyed going, too! The staff has always have made a point to know our dogs by name and to know their likes and dislikes. In March, we called a few days before a planned vacation to let them know that, because our dog had passed away unexpectedly the night before, we were cancelling our boarding reservation. My husband was really taken aback when the person he spoke to started crying. These people really care.

From the minute I drop Cody off to the time I pick her up, I know she is in reliable and loving hands. I think the world of everyone at Advanced!

I was asst. manager at this company from July 07 to Nov 07 and used their services one night because I absolutely had to. One thing about the pet care industry is how do you REALLY know how to review, did your dog tell you what all happened? Well I know how the business is ran and I warn you do NOT take your dog here. Working there you are expected to get in and out as soon as possible, this leaves no time to give the dogs any attention or affection (even though they say we do.) The dogs are inside in there for an average of 23 hours a day. "Taking them out" means we put then in an outside run for a few minutes, they go to the bathroom and we bring them back in. There is no time to put them in play groups or take them on walks so they can stretch their legs. The kennel is left unattended at night with no fire sprinklers or fire alarms. The dogs are brought in at 9:30 pm and let out at 7am at the earliest, that at LEAST 9.5 hours in a run by themselves, way too long in my opinion.

Poor experience on their price. They charged an extra half day, the morning I picked up our dog. The lady stated they are a private company and can charge anything extra they wish, and refused to give me the half day credit when I noticed the error a few days later. She said they charge everyone an extra fee, which makes no sense to me. The dog was treated well otherwise. But with the lady's attitude, they will begin to loose business soon.

Went very well. We mention them specifically because one of our dogs is an older dog with medical issues. Advanced Boarding is always very responsive to her needs and medication requirements. They also recognize the dogs and help make the transition easier for the owners.

We took a tour before we took our puppy there for grooming. During the tour, we were informed the price for our puppy s grooming would be $35.00, then the price eventually will change up to $45.00 when she grow up to an adult dog. The morning we dropped her off at the place, the manager looked at our puppy and confirmed the price will be NO GREATER than $35.00. However, when we picked up our puppy that afternoon and were asked for $45.00. The manager was not there, and the front desk girl said that someone wrote $40.00 for an unknown reason and another $5.00 for special treatment during the grooming, but no notes were left to explain what kind of special treatment was given and why our puppy needed that treatment. She said the manager would contact us to explain it to us. No one ever called us back.

I found the place neat and clean and very animal friendly. The employees that I dealt with were friendly and efficient. I shall bring my dog back. She seemed to enjoy the experience. I was very pleased.

I am so happy Keeper had a wonderful first experience. He was happy and proud when I picked him up. I have used Jocelyn Mullins in the past when I lived closer to her location. I have not found a groomer since that exibits such compassion and kindness. I will never again go anywhere else. I would also like to thank, Nina, who bathed Keeper. He is no longer afraid of water!! Thank you all very much!

WE ARE VERY PLEASED WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE VERY ATTENTIVE TO THE DIFFERING NEEDS OF OUR OLDER DOG AS WELL AS OUR PUPPY. THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND ACCOMMODATING.

HE WASN''T GOOD FOR THEM AND THEY WON''T ACCEPT HIM IN THE FUTURE WITHOUT SEDATION. IT TOOK TWO GROOMERS TO HOLD HIM DOWN. THAT''S WHY THE PRICE WAS HIGH. IT ISN''T THEIR FAULT I HAVE A CAT THAT MISBEHAVES.
