Dan and his team transformed our front and back yard landscaping! Dan displayed a wealth of knowledge. He was the only landscaper we had who came out and actually drew out everything he was thinking to do during our consultation. My husband and I are very pleased with everything his team has done. The crew was always on time and ready to work. I watched the guys working through my window and the craftsmanship and attention to detail was top notch! They built not just a landscaping wall, but truly a statement piece! I’ve seen neighbors walking their dogs stop and admire the front of our house since Melena Landscaping transformed our yard. I can’t thank the team enough for such a beautiful job they did. I would highly recommend them to everyone who asks!

Dan was very knowledgeable and was able to provide a design and estimate quickly. He worked with me to refine a few things and really tailored the project to our needs. We had about 7 firs that were dying and he helped us select some hearty replacements. Work started on schedule and was completed swiftly. His team was courteous, prompt, and cleaned up after themselves every day. Dan followed up with detailed instructions and water schedule to help us keep our landscaping looking great. We did have a few plants die, but they have a warranty that will replace them in the fall. I will definitely be reaching out to Melena Landscaping for future landscaping needs.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dan Melena. We used Dan for our extensive landscape project when our landscape architect recommended him to us. She said he was an A+ vendor and she was right! From the moment I met with Dan I knew he was the one for the job. He was friendly and approachable while also being professional. His pricing was competitive for the large scale job we wanted him to do. Dan was on site everyday to check on the project and check in with us. We were starting from scratch with a blank canvas so there were many components of the project he had to oversee. The first crew came in to install the drain tiles and work on a drainage system for the yard. Once that was complete the next crew moved in to install the landscape. Everyone on his team was courteous and hard working. They took great care of each step of the plan. Dan was always interested in whether or not we were happy with the work and was helpful with suggestions when we wanted to make a few changes. He recommended a tree service company for us to use to make sure the trees reach their full potential. He is not a one and done vendor. He is interested in maintaining relationships. We look forward to working on phase 2 of our project with him in the future.

Very well. Melena Landscaping has been mowing our lawn for several years, Their work is excellent - very conscientious about doing a good job. Can count on them to show up weekly and to make weather adjustments when necessary. The workers are very friendly and easy to work with if special changes are needed.

Absolutely love the work completed by Dan and his crew! From the initial estimate through the installation, Dan was professional, courteous, efficient and an excellent communicator. Dan and his team did an outstanding job with our new landscaping install. The team was very punctual and tidy, cleaning up everything at the end of the day even if they were going to be right back bright and early the next morning. Dan did a great job re-working the plan slightly to make sure the end result was perfect. Overall, we are extremely pleased with the whole process, and we wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

Dan and his team did an outstanding job with all aspects of our large landscaping job. They went the extra mile providing additional services that were not in our contract but put the finishing touches on our beautiful new landscape. Not only that, during the two days of work, they cleaned up any small messes, dirt, and debris each day before they left. Dan was very courteous and knowledgeable and the finished product exactly followed the blueprint. Overall we were extremely pleased.

Great. Casey and John were hard-working, polite, respectful, quick and dependable. They removed all the old bushes/evergreens and transformed my front yard by adding a beautiful retaining wall and new plantings. It was impressive to watch. They went above and beyond their duties by edging and mulching around my mailbox, without being asked, and cleaned up well after the project was completed. Thanks for a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend this group.

The project went very well. All of the work agreed to was accomplished on time and exceeded expectations. The look of all our landscaped beds was dramatically improved and the paving stone pathway looks terrific.

Dan was available on very short notice for a quote and also for the service. He fit us in on the weekend because we were having an event at our house. He did an amazing job and everything I asked. We also had Dan landscape a rental property that we have. We got compliments from the neighbors about the job they did and how hard they worked. The neighbor wrote their number down for future reference. I highly recommend Melena Landscaping.

Wow! We rarely write reviews but this time we made an exception. Melena Landscaping recently trimmed bushes, small tress, and cleaned up and redid the mulch beds. We have very high expectations when working with contractors and Melena greatly exceeded even our expectations. Everything was done as they described with even greater focus on detail than expected. Afterwards, the crew manager wanted us to review with him the work done to make sure everything was as expected. The following day, I received an email from the owner also checking to make sure we were completely happy with the job. We rarely recommend companies but the work they did justifies our highest recommendation. Although pricing was slightly higher than others, if you want the job done to near perfection and cost is not a major consideration, I would highly recommend Melena Landscaping. And for the skeptics like myself, no we are not related to, or friends with, anyone within the company; found them through Angie’s list.

I called Melena Landscaping after reading reviews of his company on Angies List. Dan Melena responded to my call on a timely basis to set up an appointment. We discussed my landscaping ideas and Dan added some of his own. Together we formulated a plan. Dan sent a proposal a day later, and I found it to be competitive. We scheduled the work, and as promised, Dan and his crew showed up on time and performed their magic! I am very pleased with the quality of work and the timeliness in which it was completed. The crew was very neat and left my property in great condition. Yes,I am using Melena Landscaping on another project and highly recommend this company.

They did a wonderful job and completed the work ahead of schedule. Dan (the owner) does much of the work himself. He is very professional.

The Melena crew did an excellent job. My flower beds and pool area look amazing. I think the pool area looks better now than it did when I bought the house ten years ago.

I sent a request for a quote. Next morning I had a phone call right away and a good discussion. They were very open and honest about costs, travel time, scheduling, etc. Since they are in Lebanon (which I didn't notice) it would be about 50 minutes for them to come to me. We are at the outskirts of their service area but I really appreciated them getting RIGHT back to me and discussing the situation openly. I have not ruled them out but will speak with some businesses which are closer first to see how prices compare to what Melena told me were some of the prices they knew even without looking at the job. To me, communication is King and they were very responsive and professional. This form required me to answer "would you hire again" yes or no. I put yes. If you haven't hired before you shouldn't have to answer this - or the answer should have an n/a option.

We have a landscaped front patio area that was flooding whenever it rained. Dan came over and looked it over and suggested a couple of buried french drain pipes to run the water down away from the landscaped area. They came and trenched the lines and put down gravel and the pipes and then covered the pipes with sod. The drains got their big test with the heavy rains the last couple of days and they worked as expected.

Dan Melena runs a great landscaping business. We have used him for several services including weekly mows, spring and fall cleanup and mulch. His prices tend to be a little high compared to other landscaping companies, but you get your money's worth from him and the guys working for him. We are highly satisfied with Melena Landscaping, thank you Dan!
