melena Landscaping did an awesome job removing old redwood mulch from our gardens. Prepping the gardens along with edging and special river rocks prior to adding triple shredded dark garden mulch. Yard cleanup was exceptional. Workers were very friendly and made great recommendations. 5 Star job.

I recommend this company enthusiastically without reservation! Dan was quick to come out to hear my concerns and look over some problems with my property. He is very knowledgeable and helped me understand my situation much better. He offered some creative solutions I had not thought of and gave several options. He was able to start the project less than a week later and completed it before other competitors had even submitted a bid. His crew was hard working, professional, and informative. I was very pleased with all the work and received compliments from several neighbors. I was glad to share the company’s contact information to one admirer that ask for it.

Casey and his team were polite, hard working and I’ll even say artists. Great ideas and advice that I would never have come up with! With other home services I’ve used, I quickly learn that I will have to supervise closely to ensure even a C- grade. Melena gets an A+ - no supervision needed. Not a grade I give easily!

Dan and his team transformed our front and back yard landscaping! Dan displayed a wealth of knowledge. He was the only landscaper we had who came out and actually drew out everything he was thinking to do during our consultation. My husband and I are very pleased with everything his team has done. The crew was always on time and ready to work. I watched the guys working through my window and the craftsmanship and attention to detail was top notch! They built not just a landscaping wall, but truly a statement piece! I’ve seen neighbors walking their dogs stop and admire the front of our house since Melena Landscaping transformed our yard. I can’t thank the team enough for such a beautiful job they did. I would highly recommend them to everyone who asks!

Dan was very knowledgeable and was able to provide a design and estimate quickly. He worked with me to refine a few things and really tailored the project to our needs. We had about 7 firs that were dying and he helped us select some hearty replacements. Work started on schedule and was completed swiftly. His team was courteous, prompt, and cleaned up after themselves every day. Dan followed up with detailed instructions and water schedule to help us keep our landscaping looking great. We did have a few plants die, but they have a warranty that will replace them in the fall. I will definitely be reaching out to Melena Landscaping for future landscaping needs.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dan Melena. We used Dan for our extensive landscape project when our landscape architect recommended him to us. She said he was an A+ vendor and she was right! From the moment I met with Dan I knew he was the one for the job. He was friendly and approachable while also being professional. His pricing was competitive for the large scale job we wanted him to do. Dan was on site everyday to check on the project and check in with us. We were starting from scratch with a blank canvas so there were many components of the project he had to oversee. The first crew came in to install the drain tiles and work on a drainage system for the yard. Once that was complete the next crew moved in to install the landscape. Everyone on his team was courteous and hard working. They took great care of each step of the plan. Dan was always interested in whether or not we were happy with the work and was helpful with suggestions when we wanted to make a few changes. He recommended a tree service company for us to use to make sure the trees reach their full potential. He is not a one and done vendor. He is interested in maintaining relationships. We look forward to working on phase 2 of our project with him in the future.

Can count on them to show up weekly and to make weather adjustments when necessary. The workers are very friendly and easy to work with if special changes are needed.

Dan and his team did an outstanding job with our new landscaping install. The team was very punctual and tidy, cleaning up everything at the end of the day even if they were going to be right back bright and early the next morning. Dan did a great job re-working the plan slightly to make sure the end result was perfect. Overall, we are extremely pleased with the whole process, and we wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

Dan and his team did an outstanding job with all aspects of our large landscaping job. They went the extra mile providing additional services that were not in our contract but put the finishing touches on our beautiful new landscape. Not only that, during the two days of work, they cleaned up any small messes, dirt, and debris each day before they left. Dan was very courteous and knowledgeable and the finished product exactly followed the blueprint. Overall we were extremely pleased.

Great. Casey and John were hard-working, polite, respectful, quick and dependable. They removed all the old bushes/evergreens and transformed my front yard by adding a beautiful retaining wall and new plantings. It was impressive to watch. They went above and beyond their duties by edging and mulching around my mailbox, without being asked, and cleaned up well after the project was completed. Thanks for a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend this group.

The project went very well. All of the work agreed to was accomplished on time and exceeded expectations. The look of all our landscaped beds was dramatically improved and the paving stone pathway looks terrific.
