Mailbox Repair

I purchased a brand new mailbox from this location. At first everything went really well. They removed the old mailbox and installed the new one. The installers were fast and efficient and my mailbox looked beautiful. We noticed shortly after that the mailbox would leak when it would rain. At first, we thought that it may have been due to some severe rain that we were having in the area. It is now quite apparent that the mailbox leaks and my mail is soaked every time it rains. I called the store to inform them of the problem, and to my surprise was informed that there would be a $40 charge to repair the mailbox. I am not satisfied with this, since I so recently purchased the rather costly mailbox. I would have expected the owner to repair the problem free of charge.
