Mike was really flexible even though I was kind of "high maintenance", wanting a mixed wood floor without two of the same woods touching each other and I wanted him to use a finish that he had never used before (Rubio Monocoat--a no-VOC hardwax oil finish that's popular in Europe since it's eco-friendly). He was so great--he always tried to make sure I was happy, even though I'm sure it was a pain for him! He also made his own transitional strips which were beautiful--I can't believe he made them. They curve nicely into the adjacent floor. He said that is something that he designed on his own.
He is such a pleasant guy--really enjoyable to be around. As my husband said, "He's one in a million!" A true craftsman at a great price.
