Jeff remodels houses, so I assumed he could do flooring and he said he could. But he made terrible mistakes in installing the sub-flooring -- nailing it instead of screwing it down. When he put the vinyl over it, the sub-flooring warped badly leaving the floor completely uneven. He then nailed through the vinyl in a vain attempt to stop the warping, ruining the vinyl in the process. In the end, I had to pay another company to come rip out everything Jeff installed and start over. Between paying for the vinyl twice and paying for the floor to be redone, I lost $1000. I didn't pay Jeff for the kitchen flooring, but I did pay him $1000 for refinishing the dining room floor. I thought I was being nice doing this, but he repaid me by failing to show-up when he had promised to return and help put the furniture back. He seemed like a nice guy, but he really let us down.
