He wanted to date me. And I did, but when I rejected him, he took my money and ran, I had paid him upfront. He told me it was a 3 week job and it would be done by Thanksgiving.  He took four months to do what little work he did. He did a crappy job on the back-splash   He drilled a hole in the side of one of my cabinets to install my microwave.  He never hauled away my old stuff.  He did not pay for my coutnertops, sink faucet, or garbage disposal that he said would be part of the deal. He did not install my cabinets properly and he did not lay the tile floor properly, where my parents now had to help come rip it up. The way he did it is that he would do a little work and I would go out on a date with him. He would then drag it out some more.   He would come to my house during the day while I was out, do a little work and just hang out, watch tv and eat all of my food.   He gave me a number of $10,000, which was the reason I accepted it, as it was a considerably lower quote than the other contractor I was considering. I also trusted him as I knew him for a while. He always said throughout that even if we do not end up together that I will still get my kitchen. I am now having to redo most of the work and he is now attacking me personally because I won't date him.
