They came the next day after I called them about the problem discovered by the electric company when they were upgrading the electric service in our area. The electric company noted that we had a serious safety issue and needed quick resolution.
We are very pleased with the work they performed and their responsiveness and timely arrival.
Our only concern is that they did not communicate well about the pricing of the work during the day of the service. They had to return to the shop to get needed materials and I charged us labor for that travel time. They also sent a second technician and never explained to us why he was necessary and charged us labor for his time as well as the original tech's time. Upon completion of the job, we were given no invoice on the changes incurred for the service. When I asked the technician(s) how much it was going to cost and if I could have an invoice for the work performed, the technician said and quot;the company would send a billand quot;. When the bill arrived (at least a month later), it was clearly more than we had anticipated based on our discussion with the electric company and with Claypool staff on the day of the service call.
I would consider using this company again, but I would definitely clearly set my expectations regarding their charges and their invoicing procedures prior to allowing them to do work. I would require an estimate in writing and an update of that estimate as the work progressed if there were any changes.
