The crew arrived at 8:20 AM on Thursday August 14, 2014. They surveyed the area of responsibility. immediately began the methodical preparations necessary like edging the grass lines, digging the depth to blend into the existing driveway and cut out the area that required more detailed attention and lastly checked the drainage to make sure any rain drains down and out on my proporty versus the neighbor. The the workers including the owner worked very hard to complete the task and finishe by 1:20 Pm the same day. In fact, they did such a great job I invited them back to complete my backyard patio.

Dennis Duffy provided me with a call back and a quote within one day after my message to West Park Asphalt Maintenance. He was able to start the work in less than one week and finish within 2 to 3 hours, once I accepted his quote. I feel they did a fantastic job. Dennis did everything I asked to be done, such as remove the old asphalt and enlarge the size of the new apron. My pricing covered a 4 " thickness rather than the normal 3 " thickness for an apron.
I felt his price was on the high side but I had no other quotes for comparison. I'm sure Dennis knows that most companies will concentrate on complete driveways rather than an apron only. I'm very happy with their work and the final outcome. I also received a $ 50 discount when I inquired on his 5 % discount through Angie's List, dropping my price from $1275 to $1225.
As a matter of information, I also contacted Holland Paving and M.J. Griffith Paving for quotes before calling West Park Asphalt. Both companies said they would be out within the week. I never heard from Holland Paving. A representative from M.J. Griffith came out to my house the first day after West Park finished my apron. They even drove over the new apron, then called me by telephone to say they are out to give me a quote for a new apron. I told them it was completed already and they confirmed completion and the nice work. The time frame from my initial call for a quote and their arrival was over 2 1/2 weeks.
Both Holland Paving and M.J. Griffith Paving had an A rating by Angie's list when I found them on your website about 4 weeks ago.

I wanted them to seal coat my driveway and they gave me a really good price estimate and it was a little too good to be true. They did a good job and everything looked fine. Two days later, it got warm out since it was summer time and the filling started melting literally. So, I called them back and they were going to wait until the temperature gets a little cooler because it was in the 90-degree range and then they redid it again. And then, it got hot again and it started melting again. Two years later, whatever the remnants that were still there were still melting. It was just the rubberized filling that they put in the cracks while the rest of the driveway was fine. I think that they used a poor product or there was something wrong with the way that they did it. I would definitely not recommend them. I hate to give them a bad grade because they were nice and they came back and redid it but there was something wrong with their material but they did try to fix it. I would not use them again in the future.

This is a fantastic company. I had seen their work being done for a friend of mine and decided to give West Park Asphalt a call when we decided we were ready to have our driveway done. They were courteous and caring on the phone and made us feel like a priority. They worked with us on a price with which we could feel comfortable. We didn't like the idea of not being able to use our driveway while the asphalt was drying and asked if the work could be done while we were on vacation; they agreed without hesitation and the job was done While we were gone. They phoned me to let me know when they arrived and when they finished. When my husband and I returned home, we were incredibly pleased with the driveway. It was done exactly as we had asked and they even added asphalt to an incline up to our porch steps without charge. They cleaned up the area well, there was no splashing on the house or landscaping, and the driveway was perfect. Additionally, since we were not there while the work was being done, they were not able to receive the final check upon completion. I was without a vehicle at the time, and they were nice enough to come by and pick up the check once we were home. This is a family company that is responsible, courteous, punctual, caring, and detail oriented. We would recommend them to anyone looking to have work done on their driveway.

Showed up on time, did a very nice job, charged what his estimate was. We will use them in the future and recommend them to others.

He came out to the house and gave us an estimate. The driveway is now winder, smoother. I can back out of the driveway with ease. We called four companies and got estimates from two. He came when he said he would.

Our driveway is very old and was in need of repairs to meet city compliance regulations.  I received a detailed estimate of the work to be done by Dennis;  they then did the work as indicated in the estimate.  When I inspected the job, I noticed a few areas that needed further attention.  Dennis responded immediately to my request and sent his sons to attend to those areas.  They called to let me know when they were on their way, arrived in a timely fashion, and did the work to my satisfaction.  At all times, everyone with whom I had contact was courteous and professional. 

My experience with West Park Asphalt Maintenance was good. Their service, punctuality and professionalism were all good. They were nice people.

This is in contrast to another company who came out without calling
and based thier estimate on things I did not want done.
A couple of delays caused by me we were taken in stride and Dennis
was quite understanding.
When the job did commence, it was done quickly and professionally
Care was taken by the crew to 'tie back' some shrubbery that could have
probably just been worked around.
A last minute request to remove an existing walkway and reroute it, was
done beautifully and for a very reasonable additional cost. The crew even
cut the sod from where the new walk was to go and used it to replace where
the old walk was removed.

The workers were great. The job was completed quickly and neatly. The owner was polite and delivered the job as quoted.  I
was more than happy and would highly recommend him.  Infact I intend to call him after 2 years so that he can black top the
surface.  Note:  The property location was at North Olmsted (5175 Porter Rd.)

He did the job and I had no complaints.

The job went very well. The asphalt that was replaced was between a sandstone sidewalk on one side and a row of bushes on the other. This made some of the work a little awkward but Dennis and his crew did the job exactly as I wanted without damaging anything near the work area.
