Textbook Painting was fabulous. My house looks amazing and the work they did was very neat. Madison whom was in charge, communicated with us every step of the way and was very professional. The rest of his crew were on time, cleaned up and was so polite. They were courteous. I would highly recommend them and the fact they are local and giving students a job...A++++

We hired Textbook Painting on referral and are extremely pleased we did! Patrick, Preston and Sarah were our crew and they were fantastic! We had a complete color change to our house, a tudor, so they had their work cut out for them! We just had Tyler re-paint our staircase from an outdated wood to a new black bean paint by Sherwin Williams. Being a manager in customer service, I can recommend Textbook Painting without hesitation! Timeliness, professionalism and going the extra mile for the customer was shown by Tyler. If you need work done, run don’t walk to Textbook painting. You will NOT regret it!

Sometimes there is a thing as too cheap. My wife and I moved into our house within the past year and I have repainted every room. The last room left is a 30ft foyer that I was unable to do by myself due to not have the proper equipment. We received a quote from textbook painters and it came in 200$ cheaper than local competitors. We were told that the painting would start in 2-3 weeks and were shooting for early July of 2017. Communication was lacking the entire time and after many phone calls later the date kept getting pushed back until finally we had the painters arrive in mid August. The painters came and started painting immediately on a Friday. In our contract they stated they would paint the ceiling, walls, and all trim in our Foyer twice. After about 2 hours of painting the painters started to pack up and came to us to inspect their work. My honest review of their painting is it looked like a 10 year old took a paint roller and went to town. The walls were 50% covered with the new paint and 50% covered with the old paint. Half the trim was painted and the other half was still the original color. Lastly the ceiling looked like it was painted by a blind man. They did not cut in the edges of the ceiling and tried to roll the entire ceiling without cutting in, using an extension poll. I was so upset with the work that I called the boss and another boss was sent out to inspect the work and try and fix things. The work was so bad that they had to come out the following Monday to re pint the foyer and the ceiling. After the second time around things did look much better but there was still much of the trim unfinished and unpainted spots on the wall. When the painters left I spent the next 5 hours re painting all the trim that was missed , along with touching up the many spots on the walls that they neglected to fix. If all of the previous wasn't bad enough, they went outback of my house and started using the hose I had rolled up out back. They cracked the hose faucet and proceeded to leave the hose painted in the color of our foyer walls. Needless to say I had quite a horrible experience and if you can afford to get someone else to paint your house, I would highly recommend not hiring textbook painters. I must say their upper management did try to help the situation but if you have painters and middle management that does not care about their final product then more than likely your walls are going to look horrible.

The project was tricky because it required finding the correct solvent to safely clean our patio. Textbook researched our project and found just the right chemical which I had been unable to find on my own. They came on time, did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. Would definitely hire again.

The estimate was very fair, the crew was punctual, very professional and worked very efficiently. They not only helped us get a good price on the paint we needed for the work we were doing, but they also gave us helpful tips on how to do a better job. All in all a great experience..

After my original review on Angie's List, I was contacted by one of the owner's of the company who came to look at the house and hear about our experience. He sent another crew to the house and addressed the areas that we were concerned about. I was quite surprised and pleased to hear from them 3 months after the original job. But they fixed what we asked them to fix and we're now quite happy with the outcome and glad to know they stand behind their work. I'm only giving them a B overall because of the hassle with the first work crew, but I'm quite sure they will use this as a "teaching moment" for future paint crews. We would now consider hiring them again in the future.

They just don't give up. They're just unbelievable. They are really impressive. They don't take breaks, they just got to use the potty. He uses his telephone to find out when it's not going to be raining and they plan accordingly. They're prompt, hardworking. They just don't quit. They just continue to work like it's raining like hell outside now, and they're covering up their stuff. That's why I called them to come under the cover. I have a cover on my deck. They won't do anything unless I invited them to do. They're very respectful. They always call me before they come out which is important because it has been raining.

We originally obtained an estimate for the entire house to be painted. The estimate took almost 2 hours since the agent had to keep calling back to the office for guidance. Since we were having other projects done around the house we decided to just have the front porch done this year. Two workers arrived (one even earlier than the expected start time) and were very pleasant and professional. They worked hard and the porch looked great after being painted. I would suggest that they come better equipped for the job. They borrowed my broom and dustpan and the broom ended up with paint all over it. When they came back later in the week to do finishing touches the worker came without paint brushes by mistake. I loaned him paint brushes so the job could be completed that day. I ended up washing the brushes.

I would never recommend Textbook Painting to anyone. It was pretty terrible. They came out to give me a quote and I met who I thought was going to be doing the painting. I put a deposit down for them to do the work and they gave me a date of when they would come back. They called me on that date to say they would not be able to make it out and that it would be a couple more days. That turned into a couple weeks. Eventually they come and it was four young kids, like 18 or 19 years old. They explained that they painted before and Textbook Painting contracts the work out to college kids to manage and make it their own business. It took them forever. They didn't have the right equipment and they got the wrong color three times. They had to repaint the front door three times because because they couldn't match the color. They left paint splotches all over the front porch. It was just a hassle. I paid for the duration of it and they lost the check so I had to pay it again. Now the paint is already peeling off which I've had to touch up places. I had to call, ask them, and make them come back to specifically paint the shutters. They specifically left the shutters so they were a different color than the rest of the house. The kids were very nice and they did whatever I asked them to do but I felt like there was mismanagement. I think Textbook Painting purposely is misleading and don't want you to know right away until they have your deposit that it's going to be 4 college kids coming to paint your house. They never asked how they were doing or for a review. Every day I never knew what time they were going to get here even though they would give me a time. I missed a family function because they didn't show up on time and were working later and I didn't want them working with nobody here.

They did a good job and they did it in a reasonable amount of time considering the constraints of the rain. They were good about calling and letting us know if they couldn’t come because of the weather and they were good about updating us on their progress. We had to leave the house a few times so we gave them the garage door opener so they could put things in there. They seemed very trustworthy, they seemed like nice young men, and they did little things like taking the grill off the deck and putting it back when they were done. It was college kids and they came around to let us know what services they provide; I believe they only do outdoor services. They tried to do the best quality work that they could and even put extra coats on the front door and shutters. The price was very reasonable and we have already talked about them putting a coating on our garage floor.
